Honestly, I'm guessing that 75% to 80% of the electorate is too stupid to make an informed decision. The disagreement was not over slavery but seccession....but hey, don't let something as trivial as facts get in the way of your argument. Sebelius lacks the charisma needed for national politics, and that is a requirement in today's media environment (like it or not). I think they floated her out for a test run giving the rebutal to the State of The Union.....she didn't impress many. While she may make a fine govenor, she doesn't seem to have the right stuff for VP. As for McCaskill, I agree adding her to the ticket doesn't add much and she will be needed in the senate. Although my opinion of the Clintons has spiraled down to new lows, and I would not be unhappy to see her campaign in financial ruin, I suggets you look at this logically. Don't make emotional decisions. Obama giving money to Clinton is not something I relish. However, look at the cost versus the benefits of relieving some of her campaign debt. If he were to take a substantive bite out of that debt Clinton would be forced to solidly back Obama and not be in a position to demand a spot on the ticket. These are both big positives. Clinton has a strong following, if he could gain the majority of those supporters, then why not? The purpose of campaign money is to win the election. Spending money like this to gain her supporters is no different than spending it on ad spots. Dollars in, votes out. Do you think Clinton will actually get behind the nominee if she is hit to the tune of 15 to 25 million? I don't care who you are, that's a lot of money. Let her stay in till Oregon and Kentucky. I once thought Hillary was an incredibly intelligent person, regardless of not ever wanting to vote for her. I think we have been fooled by someone who has been adept at not taking any hard positions on a topic. Her mismanagement of her own campaign and the possible "nuclear option" outlined above, clearly demonstrate this woman is out of touch with reality and her intelligence is suspect.
