Why NARAL Pro-Choice America Endorsed Barack Obama

You're all high & mighty behind 'reproductive rights,' but you're not getting behind the candidate that will champion 'reproductive rights' in the general election. That is rich.

Let me guess: you're gonna sit this one out........no, you're voting for McCain...........or better yet, you're voting Nader.

It is time to get real. Hillary is not going to be the nominee, Obama will. If you truly value 'reproductive rights,' then you really ought to consider getting behind the candidate who shares your views. posted 05/14/2008 at 21:56:50
The whole "you better be nice to us or we'll vote for McCain" act is getting tired. If you are a Democratic voter with Democratic values, you should vote for the Democrat. Last Night Clinton Won the Pennsylvania Primary, but Lost the War for the Nomination

Yeah, by this time she was supposed to be taking her victory laps through the later primaries, since her brain-trust had her pegged to have this wrapped up on Super Tuesday.

Not only that, Bill had 25 years of favors lined up coast to coast, ready to be called in on Hillary's behalf on a moment's notice. Not to mention access to every Democratic Party fatcat and their bank accounts and rolodexes.

I would say Obama has done one helluva job going against the institutional juggernaut of Clinton, Inc. He is sitting on top in popular vote and delgate count and will have this wrapped up by June. Poli Science classes will be studying this campaign for decades. posted 04/23/2008 at 17:34:07
Uh, I think you have it exactly backwards on the negative campaigning.

Refer to today's NY times editorial, a paper that endorsed Hillary. The editorial board spelled it out very clearly: Hillary has engaged in a "vacuous, desperate, pandering" campaign, and Obama's only fault in this regard is that he has risen to the rotten bait she is dangling.

On the other hand, if he didn't rise to the bait in an attempt to defend himself, then Hillary-nation would be calling him "soft" or "unelectable" or some other nonsense.

The good news is that the editorial board and the country can take a deep breath and realize that this nightmare is almost over. Hillary will soon be done in by the math. posted 04/23/2008 at 17:24:29

Pennsylvania Observations

The "media"?

I thought she was a tough fighter who is ready on "day one", though? You mean she is going to let the "media" stop her? The "Media" is camped out in the White House basement every day, and the administration has to trot out and talk to them every day.

Someone who lets the "media" keep them from becoming President doesn't sound like much of a fighter to me. posted 04/24/2008 at 11:17:14
I am surprised because she was inevitable, remember? A tsunami was carrying her to the nomination. Her political team openly admitted they didn't even have a plan for after Super Tuesday because it was all moot....she was going to have it wrapped up by then.

For some reason, though, she could not close the deal. Why? posted 04/24/2008 at 09:43:01
Hillary's lead in PA was as much as 20% just a few months ago, and six months ago she was the prohibitive favorite to have the nomination signed, sealed & delivered by Super Tuesday.

She had a huge $$$ advantage.

Oh, and she is married to a successful two-term President who is calling in favors from one corner of the nation to the other on his candidate-wife's behalf. Party Fatcats with bulging bank accounts and rolodexes at their disposal. You might even say they are a political juggernaut.

So tell me again WHO in this race is the one that can't close the deal? posted 04/24/2008 at 09:07:56
Recent polls have revealed that 8% of all white voters nationally and 29% of white PA Dem Primary voters said they cannot vote for the black candidate.

So it would probably be safe to say that if you are one of the aforementioned voters you are probably racist, while if you are choosing your candidate based upon qualifications without regard to race, then you are probably not racist.

Same goes for gender. posted 04/24/2008 at 08:59:44
