Obama Risks Alienating Clinton Women and Blue-Collar Supporters

If women really vote Republican in the case of Obama winning the nomination, it would be out of spite not out of whats in their best interest. The Florida House of Rep passed a bill this week that would require all women seeking abortion to have a sonogram/ultrasound at their expense and sign off that they understand what they're doing, they estimate the cost of the test to be between $100 and $700--a vote for McCain is a vote for conservative supreme court judges that will wipe away most of the progress women have made over the last 30 years....hopefully women will vote for the candidate that they believe will values of progressive women....as to blue-collar workers, imo, not much he can do to get through to them but encourage their children not to let the divisiveness of race get in the way of common goals and common sense. posted 04/03/2008 at 10:36:00

Hillary, 'Congenital Hawk,' Backed McCain on War -- Just As It Fell Apart

Well I guess its easier to understand why so many of the ardent Hillary supporters would have no problem voting for McCain. Pro-war democrats and the defense companies are her strongest backers, why would that be? hmmmmm posted 03/27/2008 at 11:29:51

Florida Superdelegate Introduces New Argument To Seat The State's Superdelegates

That may be so, but the legislation that passed was unanimous among both Republicans and Democrats...imo, the Florida Democrats didn't make any fuss about the DNC rules that would "disenfranchise" them, remember at the time it passed no one gave Obama a snowball's chance in hell to be anything but a novelty.

Par for the course, over confidence led to no thorough discussion of what the ramifications would be if the "inevitable" didn't runaway with the nomination...a close primary race between Hillary and anybody was not going to happen, so there was no Plan B--kind of reminds me of how we were going to be greeted as liberators in Iraq, with no Plan B

As a FL Dem who voted in the primary anyway, I feel we were cheated that we didn't get to see the campaign up close and personal. posted 03/27/2008 at 09:21:31

The Tide Is Turning

Optimism is the only realism.

Hard work by the people, will make a difference, not a partisan fight that gets nothing done...

I suppose you're one of those that won't vote Democrat unless Hillary is crowned the nominee, so go ahead, be a pessimist, take no responsibility and keep yelling at your TV...the rest of us will carry your load, because its worth it. posted 03/27/2008 at 09:35:31
