Senator Obama is actually right about people being bitter! I grew up in a small town in Illinois and many people in my age group have left because there are no jobs to speak of. The jobs were outsourced to other countries, the factories have left and the only thing left in town are elderly people who understand all too well why the younger generations have left and won't come back, except to visit relatives & family.
Isn't it about time that someone speak to the American people as though we're all adults and can understand them? Senator Obama understands quite well the plight of working class America.....he just finished paying off his student loans from college 2 years ago and he's in his mid-forties! He worked as a community organizer to help displaced steel workers find other jobs and I'll bet that plenty of them were bitter, angry & depressed over their circumstance! His comments were not meant to attack small towns, but to understand what happens to people, when jobs become non-existent and surviving becomes increasingly difficult and millionaires like Senator Clinton & Senator McCain aren't listening!!!!! posted 04/13/2008 at 10:09:55

You should try the water, it's much better for you! He actually has many legislative accomplishments, but I think that you may not want to acknowledge that right now. In Illinois, voting "present" is considered a legislative option(1 of 3), in fact!
As far as your comparison to Jimmy Carter, I think that you're wrong. Senator Obama knows that real change has to be sanctioned by the people of this country....it's much more effective that way!

Why is it that the Clinton supporters always act as though Obama supporters are doing all these horrible things? I mean, Clinton supporters get on this blog and talk no end of nonsense about "their beloved Hillary", call us Kool-air drinkers & tell us that we're all suffering from some mass delusion and that we should just wait until the general election and we'll see how electable Senator Obama is, and how we're dragging the democratic party down........are they kidding with this nonsense! Bill Clinton's statement are exactly the type that we're just not in need of! I don't know what the implication was, but I'm sure that it wasn't a compliment to Senator Obama!
