Obama Struggles With Working Class Whites, Dems Emotionally Divided

Gee, you people are sure in a rush for open borders and immediate amnesty aren't you ? I must be missing something. Either of the three who wish to be president aren't going to put the wishes of the American people ahead of the special interest groups they support. Why is everyone so excited about being made irrelevant the minute any of them take office ? More welfare , more debt and more of the same old same old. Yeah, we're in for some kind of change alright. Downwards unfortunately. posted 05/06/2008 at 20:11:50

Clinton Defends 'Obliterate Iran' Comment, Obama Calls It Bush-Style 'Cowboy Diplomacy'

Hillary wants to drop the gas tax temporarily, Obama wants to show everyone how stupid she is because of that. And what does Obama offer as a solution except the same old concept that might be implemented 10 years down the road, if we're lucky. Neither of these two have any plan and name calling anyone who points that out accomplishes as much as they will with this energy crisis.

Mr. Obama Goes to Washington

I would love to see Clinton and Obama stand before a group in Michigan and other states who have seen massive job losses and discuss their plans for an immediate amnesty--laughingly called comprehensive immigration reform as one of their first acts of office. Sorry, but if they can't put the needs of America first and stablilize this economy, they are nothing more but the same old politicans who got this country in the mess it's in . Throwing in a new face with the very same goals as the establishment in Washington is only a change in the name plates on the desk. It seems that Americans will be bashed at every turn while legislation is cranked out to destroy the will of the American people. posted 05/03/2008 at 13:58:34

Two Years After the Big Immigrants Rights Marches, Where Do Things Stand?

I live in Pasadena, Texas, just outside of Houston. This city is now a majority of illegal aliens. Half the city that once held upscale department stores and business is now more a slum area, with multiple families of illegals moving into the houses and trashing the property. One city of the city is now a slum and the other part is where Mexican Americans and everybody else transferred, attempting to move away from the nightmare this influx has created. Anybody who proclaims we need to grant amnesty to millions of people who ignore our immigration laws have never had to try to live with the situation. At the rate it's going, no community will be spared. We'll see how many open border people change their minds then. posted 05/02/2008 at 12:34:14

Southern Border Fence Would Endanger Species

The "justice" given to those agents was tainted and evidence held from the jury while they were debating their guilt or innocence. A federal judge has ruled something stinks to high heaven about the piled on charges used against these men. He termed it extreme prosecution. Sutton's star witness, the illegal alien drug smuggler, was just found guilty of guess what ? More drug smuggling from Mexico to the U.S. I hope with all my heart the agents are given a new trial, with all the evidence the prosecutor previously blocked, allowed in. By the way, the woman who pushed to have the two agents indicted and brought to trial just happened to be good friends with the family of the illegal agent. You want us to believe they got a fair trial ? Not in your wildest dreams.

Johnny Sutton was pushing someone's agenda and it points right straight back to the Bush administration. Sutton also decided to prosecute a deputy sheriff for shooting at a van driven by an illegal alien that tried to run him down. A bullet richocheted off the spare tire on the outside and gave the driver a graze on his arm. Two different entities found him free of doing anything wrong. After a year, Sutton went after the deputy, he was tried and found guilty. Once again, the jury heard selective evidence that influenced the verdict.. posted 04/20/2008 at 07:50:57
Tons of garbage, human waste and millions of people trampling the area while entering the U.S. illegally has done more damage to the ecosystem than a fence ever will. This is nothing but the same lame old ethnocentric garbage .

For those of you blasting Texas, be glad we're here. We're supporting a couple of million illegal aliens your state would be if we weren't so handy. With our economy slipping and the billions in remittances sent back to Mexico by illegal aliens declining, there is a prediction the waves of migrants entering illegally will drastically increase. Mexico needs the money and if it takes more illegal aliens, then so be it is their attitude. If a fence slows them down 10 minutes, giving the border agents even the smallest edge in arriving in the area, so be it. posted 04/20/2008 at 07:40:53

Obama's Anger--Redux

No, my 61 years weren't spent with my head in the sand. A lot of those years were putting up with the sneers and name calling of "hillbilly" because of the way I spoke. I was supposed to be ashamed of being from Appalachia. Having been in the big city now for 44 years, I can tell you that I've seen some of the conditions people carry on about being so oppressive that actually were better than so many of the mountain people had it.

You're too young to remember what finally brought about food stamps . A television crew was filming another documentary in Appalachia, once again blaming the miners for their own poverty and hunger, when they saw a child literally die from starvation on camera. Miners worked but lived in a mining town, in a company house and bought your food in the company store, Back then, wages were paid in script, printed by the mine owner and not usable anywhere outside the mining town. Don't preach to me about the wrongs in this country.

People of different cultures have had their share of hard times. Here on this very forum I see the word "hillbilly" being thrown around and everybody having a big laugh. At least blacks get protection from you politically correct people.

Do yourself a favor before you come at me. Google Mountaintop Removal. Tell me blacks are the only one "entitled" to concern. But that won't happen. No "hillbilly" is running for President. posted 03/29/2008 at 05:30:33
Here's the flaw in all this touchy, feely reawakening of the racial strife. All whites are considered guilty, as a whole. Just as all blacks have never faced the discrimination those did before the civil rights act, they are stil excused in their anger . It's an unreasonable anger that has justified this entitlement mentality and no amount of affirmative action programs giving them preferences will please them. They are convinced of victimhood and will never accept responsiblity for their own behavior. If sitting in churches and hearing whites villified and the country villified makes them feel superior in their anger, so be it. However, it isn't the problem of the entire country. To put it bluntly, without the help of a lot of white Americans, you wouldn't see half the progress that has been made. If this race whining doesn't stop, their won't be an audience left because the rest of us have our hands full trying to survive, too.

I can't believe the mentality of so many Obama supporters now think their own race is something to be ashamed of if it isn't black. Amazing how little it takes for people to betray their ancestors who are responsible for them being alive. posted 03/29/2008 at 00:58:12

Lou Dobbs Mocked In Commercial For Hispanic Film "Under The Same Moon"

Called "The High Cost of Cheap Labor," the study by the non-partisan Centers for Immigration Studies measured the impact of illegal immigration on the United States.

The labor of undocumented workers helps keep prices on many everyday items low. "If we had to pay 10 to 12 dollars an hour to pick tomatoes or lettuce, what would that do to the cost of living in California," said one advocate for illegal aliens.

Overall, however, the report found that undocumented immigrants are ultimately a drain on U.S. taxpayers. The study revealed that while illegal immigrants pay $16 billion per year in taxes, they draw $26.3 billion a year in services. That's about $2,700 per household, with most of the money going for medical treatment, food assistance, the cost of incarceration, and education.

The report underscores one of the primary arguments used by those who support tighter border controls. "We either enforce our immigration laws or we don't. And if we don't, we might as well repeal our sovereignty."

One answer offered by the study is to cut the number of jobs available to undocumented workers by sanctioning employers. "That would dry up 98 percent of the traffic ," said T.J. Bonner of the National Border Patrol Council.

The study considered amnesty, but said the cost to taxpayers would increase by approximately 118 percent. Instead of $2,700 per household, taxpayers would be paying about $7,700. for each and every illegal alien given amesty. posted 03/27/2008 at 00:53:14
I see the Huff Po is also open border and anybody speaking out against it has little chance of having their post approved. Most of the produce and vegetables are already being imported with little being grown here in the U.S. The huge conglomerate farms that are responsible for most crops in the United States are planting even more than ever which brings into question of why they would do that if there was a shortage of workers.

The article ,though, touting the taunting of Lou Dobbs contains a very blatant false statement: "CNN's anti-immigrant crusader Lou Dobbs". Lou Dobbs has never been anti-immigrant. He's against illegal immigration and once again people buy into the propaganda of LaRaza, the race baiting group, Curious how the big wig of La Raza, good old Janet herself, is treated royally by Lou Dobbs in all of her MANY appearances on his show. Come to Pasadena, Texas which is now a city with a majority of illegal aliens. Live here six months and then tell me how you embrace the open border policy that beloved Obama does. If you think illegal aliens pay their way, you'll be in for a big surprise. An even better idea is live in Houston, where an estimated 500,000 illegal aliens have nearly bankruped the hospitals and are bogging down the social services. Yes, they get in line for all the freebies, guided by the Mexican consulate that hands out booklets to make sure , and this is a quote from the consulate: "That no Hispanic misses a program to which they're entitled".

Thank people like Obama who give away the sovereignty of this country while convincing sheep who follow that it's a good thing. Americans deserve what they're getting--the total shaft--if they are so stupid as to attack those like Dobbs who tells the truth while listening to the self-serving pandering of Clinton and Obama. Ilegal aliens can't afford to live in their neighborhoods and certainly won't be in the dance classes of Obama's children.

When Obama was pandering to the Latinos, he referred to Lou Dobbs in the same phrase when he was "lecturing" Americans about racism, etc. Dobbs called out Obama on it.

We'd like to hear Obama stand in front of a television camera and explain why he has voted for every single bill to give amnesty and entitlements to illegal aliens and for any bill that would slow down the enforcement of the immigration laws. Come on Obama. You promise change. Does that mean a wide order border like you've shown yourself to endorse ? You say you want enforcement before amnesty but your voting record shows that to be a blatant lie. Playing the race card with the Latinos is more evidence that Obama will use race, any race to get elected.

I'm not ready to give up what sovereignty is left of this country and you're better off with a Lou Dobbs than you are an Obama who doesn't seem to have a clue as to what his open border drivel will cost. posted 03/26/2008 at 19:56:00
These open border, pro amnesty people mock every citizen by by their actions so going after Lou Dobbs shows how they will attack anyone who tells the truth. They sound like programmed robots speaking for La Raza, who by the way now claims their name doesn't mean "the race". Guess they don't want to make Obama look bad when he puts his arms around them.

Go Lou Dobbs. Make these open border people sweat a little more. posted 03/26/2008 at 19:49:48

The Tide Is Turning

The Black Caucus, never having allowed anyone but blacks into their group, will at least have the attention they want. If pulling together is what's needed to solve this race problem, when will the set asides, affirmative action programs, preferential treatment programs and The United Negro College Fund, the Miss Black America contests, and all the others that say "black only", be done away with ? It isn't discrimination bothering people in this country as long as it discrimination against the right color. People can't have it both ways. posted 03/26/2008 at 15:24:24

Chelsea Clinton Has Quick Response For Lewinsky Question

Maureen Dowd is on record with despising the Clintons and using her press to push her own personal agenda. I'm really so impressed with her being quoted. Not. I'm not a Clinton supporter because I don't care for her politics. However, I'm not an Obama supporter because he's just another slick Willy who will show his true face if elected and McCain ? Well, we sure don't need another 4 years of Bush. posted 03/26/2008 at 12:47:46
'the apples don't fall far from the trees."

If your post is correct, the bumper crop of rotten ones can be found here. What sanctimonious hypocrites crawl out of the woodworks at every opportunity. Are you people for real or bored trolls still living with Mommy and Daddy, pretending to have a life ? posted 03/26/2008 at 12:43:23
Hillary Clinton wasn't caught dallying around so why should she or her daughter have to answer this type of malicious question? "It's none of your business" is exactly what those of you who think it's perfectly legitimate would say if it was your life being scrutinized. Being an Obama supporter doesn't excuse this hypocritical attitude many of you show. If you represent Obama, then God help all of us. It will be as bad or worse than the Bush nightmare. posted 03/26/2008 at 12:34:25

"Obama's Test" or Ours?

I'm 61 and have no plans on voting for either Clinton or Obama. I've seen the promises come and go, grand promises and probably dreams that a person honestly believes in while campaigning but dreams that turn to mist as soon as the oath is administered.

I just sat dumbfounded when I heard pundits speak of how Obama had "finally" opened up the dialogue for race discussion. Opened it up ? We've had discussion, infinitum, since the day of the civil rights marches.

Jonah Goldberg got it right in a recent article in the Los Angeles Times. He wrote,

" Snatching me from any such reverie was this masterful understatement from Thursday's New York Times: "Religious groups and academic bodies, already receptive to Mr. Obama's plea for such a dialogue, seemed especially enthusiastic."Janet Murguia is one such especially enthusiastic person. She hoped, according to the (New York) Times, that Obama's speech would help "create a safe space to talk about [race]."

"Who is Janet Murguia? Oh, she's just the president of a group called the National Council of La Raza, which -- despite what they'll tell you -- means "the race." In fact, doesn't it seem like the majority of people begging for a "new conversation" on race are the same folks who shout "racist!" at anyone who disagrees with them?" end of quote

"The View" Heats Up Over Racism, Whoopi Declares, "This Is A Racist Country"

Maria Hopeful, I see your idea of a democracy is that an opinion, only agreeing with yours, is permissible . A true democracy invites arguments. A dictatorship demands obedience to the dictates of one person. Guess which one you sound like ? posted 03/25/2008 at 23:04:25
And for the record, Whoppi needs to learn a few facts before she lectures any white person on being uneasy in the scenario she set forth. But, often being black seems to carry with it the privilege of throwing out stereotypical views while playing loose with the reality of things. posted 03/24/2008 at 19:01:07
In these days of gang bangers and hoodlums of all races, six of any young guys hanging around a street corner would give any sensible person reason to pause, especially a woman. Are we supposed to just be ignorant , plow right into those situations to prove that as a white person, we aren't racist ? This politically correct stuff is nothing but short of ridiculous. posted 03/24/2008 at 18:49:28

Cheney On 4,000 Dead Americans: They Volunteered

Let's not forget all the senators and congressmen who made it possible for Cheney and Bush to get this type of power to destroy this country. With few exceptions, they lined up to agree with whatever they wanted or ran when Bush/Cheney began the arm twisting. posted 03/24/2008 at 15:22:16

Do As I Say, Not As I Do: Bill Richardson Explains Why The Other Superdelegates Should Vote With Their States

Clinton, Obama Backers Go Off Message On Fox News Sunday

Thank goodness some of these radicals can't text in their vote. How much you want to bet the majority of the mudslingers posting here have never voted in their life and won't be voting now ? This forum is just growing in popular as a place to flame one another. Period. posted 03/23/2008 at 13:45:35

Blacks 'Injected' With Syphilis? Never Happened

As bad as all this was, we can't go back and reverse history. With the danger this country is from near bankruptcy and an economy in crisis, a war seemingly without end , job losses, threats from rogue nations, don't you think we'd better stop walking with our heads turned backwards and all walk forward together to solve the most critical problems in the present ? posted 03/24/2008 at 15:29:42

Another Bill Clinton Moment On The Campaign Trail

People can now relax. Mexico thanks you for Obama/Richardson. Too bad the rest of America won't have anyone represent them when they take office. Push 2 for English. posted 03/22/2008 at 15:35:57

Meet The (White) Man Who Inspired Wright's Controversial Sermon

"At the very end, he preaches about self-examination and I guess I, along with most of white America, have a lot of examining to do."

Excuse me ? If a person truly believes in the word of God, they would also realize ALL people have to constantly examine themselves. It's not a white guilt trip thing. posted 03/21/2008 at 17:40:24

Mayhem At Fox News: Anchor Walks Off Set, Wallace Rails Network For "Obama-Bashing"

I had to laugh when I watched this video clip. Obama is known to be so eloquent, having the answers, so he needs a Fox employee to explain his message ? Brian reminded me of a little puffy faced kid who couldn't get his own way so he took his ball and ran, rather than play the game. The entire thing is laughable. posted 03/21/2008 at 15:05:45

Bill O'Reilly Needs to Enroll in "Understanding the Internet 101"

It's really good to see everyone speak their mind and thinking the politicians will hear them. Even the pretense of listening to the majority of Americans will go out the door the minute they're sworn in. Speak long and loud because after November, they won't hear a word you say until the next election.

I don't think they're listening even now. The Democrats are determined to pass amnesty, the Dream Act, blah, blah, despite the majority of Americans who have twice said "verified border security first". Sigh. Guess we're really only semi-listening to one another.

We can only handle so many crises at a time and they need to decide which. The war, illegal immigration, race, terrorist attacks ? Oh,yeah. Americans finding a way to survive in the economy. Guess that isn't as important. posted 03/21/2008 at 17:22:12
