Tomato Growers Report Salmonella Scare Damages Industry

This entire poisonous food episode smacks of a cover up of permitting our truck farming business to be run over by foreign organizations, just as every other American business has been bankrupted by cheap and unfair mercantelistic trading . The corrupt economic and trade policies of this administration are being covered up. The public is being damned by its own government. posted 07/19/2008 at 21:38:50

New Hampshire To Accept Free Oil From Chavez

While our formal and informal leaders try to convince a discouraged citizentry that our economic recession is simply a normal bump in the otherwise greatest economic system on the face of the earth, a foreign enemy of this administration donates heating energy to people too poor to afford to heat their own homes.
Indeed, under the banner of Republican free trade capitalism, our penurious citizens have become the beggars of the industrialized world for having no industry, technology and accompanying jobs to sustain the family unit. Amazingly, both political parties support following the same self destroying path. Additionally, there is not a word uttered of the debt or ways to pay off the debt except by inviting foreign money to come into our forlorn Country and take over our remaining private organizations that we appear unable to manage. posted 07/19/2008 at 21:32:32

Proof: Democrats Are Better For the Economy

Tlhis Country is so indeted that the past may not be helpful to predict the future performance.
Historically, in corrupt South American countries the dictator would fly high with policies that ultimately left the organization in captive debt of outsiders and poverty for the many citizens.
The democratic, disposed rulers would take over and their sound economic policies would so infuriate enough citizens that a charlatan with a smooth tongue would overthrow the democracy and repeat the cycle.
I believe we are in such a deep hole that reform, unless prudently and sagaciously enacted could provoke disastrous consequences. Our citizens are not of the same character as those of the Great Depression. The welfare dependency upon government largess of our citizens, especially of the upper and lower levels of society, has weakened our motivation to achieve and strive for self-sufficiency and independence. Bernanke: Economy faces 'numerous difficulties'

All of our politicans want to get the economy back on track by reviving the housing market. If we look at previous bubbles, the result was to pick up the pieces after all the bankruptcies had settled. For example, we squandered an over-building of the telecommunications by a factor of 100 years over capacity. There are no major communications projects in the United States to this day.
There will be no more significant building in this country for decades. For politicans to tell us that the building industry can bring us out of our deepening recession is delusionary.
The end purchasers of fraudlently derived mortgages bundled into highly rated bonds were the real victims of this massive swindle.
Historically, the credible of our rating agencies were always above repproach. When an asset was rated AAA or even AA or A, it was a safe investment. But organizations from Wall Street to the Fed to the Treasury to the Executive Office colluded and coordinated for different reasons to swindle investors and countries throughout the world.
The next Administration must meet out justice to the perpetuators while apologizing to the victims of this fraud. The losses will be in the trillions. There is no way that our government should bail out another organization. Otherwise, we will lose our currency and ourselves as independent people. posted 07/15/2008 at 22:40:39

But the principles of economics can not be cheated. Money inflation comes back to its proper level, often with a crashing vengenance.

Let the Housing Bail-Outs Begin

The California bank default will cost 4-8 billion dollars, we are told. Where will the money come from when the FDIC runs out of insurance money? Will the Treasury print more money to pay the insurance for the depositors of the next failing banks?
Unstated about the 15 trillion dollar owned and insured mortgages of Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae is the loss if only 10 percent of the mortgage value goes sour. That deficit is 1.5 trillion dollars. For the Treasury to absorb that obligation is to ask for the destruction of our currency.
It is becoming increasingly clear that the Fed's decision to bail out the guilty financiers (banks and brokerages houses) has set a precedent that may result in the forced liquidation of our dollar. posted 07/13/2008 at 15:30:26

Corrupt, incompetent oversight and practicse are coming home. And the corrupt, incompetent leaders are panicking. Our empty treasury will bail out the broken organizations. They are too big to fail.
What Bush, Paulson and some Democratic leaders fail to ask: "Is the American Republic too big to fail?" If, no. Then why are we risking our currency and economy for the actions of gross larceny and swindling? If, the answer is yes, then what is the contingency plan when the entire financial system collapses from worthless money and a frozen economy and massive unemployment and penurious citizens unable to pay for the basic necessities of energy and food?
Only fools and opportunists continue to bail out a bankrupt economic, financial system.

Our leaders better think through taking on a new obligation of guaranteeing five (5) trillion dollars of mortgagees that were made with no oversight and less supervision. Our housing market is going into unprecedent depreciation. It will most likely depreciate 50-65 percent before its all over. In the Great Depression housing declined about 75-80 percent in three years (1929-1932). So, a 50 to 60 percent correction is a conservative estimate.
If the Fed is taking on the policy of guaranteeing these motrgages with borrowed-printing press dollars, what is the result? The answer is self explanatory. Immediately, there will be a run on the dollar combined by a refusal of our "trading partners to loan more monies. Interest rates will shoot skyward. There will be a scramble to buy up every thing that is not tied down in our bankrupt country. Finally, the dollar will collapse and the entire economic system will be subject to the influence of other than members of the Republic.
There is only one terrible decision that can be made by our national leadership: Let the entire system collapse. Immediately declare insolvency and create a new currency. Place a stop on foreign intrusion into our finance and economy and begin a new policy and procedure of economic self-sufficency as we prudently withdraw our military from overextended committments we can not meet.
If we bail out failing organizations, the result will be the total loss of our independence aa a democracy and Nation. posted 07/12/2008 at 01:12:05

Obamaniacs: Tearful Mother & Daughter Overwhelmed Meeting Obama

Americans are so ignorant of the nature of leadership that the rank and file join self-proclaimed management experts to talk of the charisma or lack of charisma of specific candidates. First of all, there is no such human characteristic as charisma. Therefore, the quality of leadership for improving or stagnating an organization has absolutely nothing to do with this alleged attribute.
A consummate charlatan could be alleged to possessing charisma. A prudent and decisive decision maker could be attributed to possessing charisma.
So what is charisma? When does it assert itself? Why?
Charisma is alleged when enough followers unquestionably support an administrator. This phenomen arises when large minorities of an organization's membership have been denied oppportunity that their ancestors freely thrived on. When a leader taps into these members' belief system that he can somehow loosen the grip of subjugation and renew growth and development, the members respond with a dedication that is the stuff of mass movements and revolutions. The followers see charisma in the leader. The perception is simply a reflection of their anxious hopes, fears and desperate susceptibility to believe and follow unquestionably.
Obama's promise that this election can change the world is not simply bombast or theatrics. There is a gathering storm that a great leader, with a bit of luck, can channel towards the democratic renaissance envisioned by our Nation's founders. posted 07/02/2008 at 21:10:02

The more religious we become as influences public policy, the more we become like the last days of the ancient Roman Empire, the Spainish empire, the Netherlands renaissance, and the British Empire. Ice on Mars: Good for the Jews?

Those of the numan race who have given thought to the meaning of life and other things yearn to learn that we are not alone. We want to know that the Good Lord is with us; that our existence was preordained; that we are here for a purpose ordained by our creator; that life in our own image is everywhere or somewhere in this vast, improbable universe; that we are a chosen life-form specifically created to have purpose in the universe.
Yet, with the use of science,we are continually confronted with information that disputes our wishes, propositions and doctrines. Our origins suggest that our present status is as much the result of chance and sheer luck as to any grand design or law of nature. When we recognize that the human species became almost extinct about 70,000 years ago with only about 2200 individuals populating the entire earth: when we consider that human groups expanded and collapsed countless times in the thousands of years until civilization started to gain a foothold about 8,000 years ago, then we are wise in assuming that we are alone and our climb or descent in civilized conduct can hold only ourselves accountable; and we are wise in continuing our search for answers for controlling and orienting the forces of nature for the benefit of all mankind. posted 06/30/2008 at 22:31:54

Help Me Write a Book

The rise or fall of government-country resides upon the growth or decline of the economy. By this standard the economy of a rising government-country provides the citizentry at all levels of the organization virtually unlimited opportunities to develop competence as owner, employee or public bureaucrat. Taxation is directed to individuals and organizations most able to pay. The Country protects businesses from unfair foreign or monopolistic competition. Decisions are built upon valid and reliable working knowledge available.
By the same standard in a failing organization, the legal barriers hinders economic growth or productivity. What economic activity that does exist becomes concentrated in the hands of the few. Foreign influence and monopolistic competition beccome the coin of the realm. Opportunity for the many dries up. The competent and highly skilled are forced into retirement or disguised under-employment. Taxation is thrown on those least capable to pay. Business is at the mercy of predatory targeted competition by foreign and monopolistic economic organizations that force distressed selling, reorganization or bankruptcy. Decision making is the result of unreliable, intentionally skewed knowledge intended to hide the grim truth from the citizens.
In this "Free Trade" world those governments that apply sound business principles and practices to their economy and protect their industries and technologies against unfair encroachment: such governments administer growing and developing countries of increasing wealth, plenty and competence for all their citizens.
Those governments that ignore such obvious safeguards and rules of civilized capitalism lead their citizens towards decline. posted 06/29/2008 at 21:32:35

This niave quest for a new economic mechanism or system through a compiling of self-serving views by noted experts who are already indoctrinated into the present American capitalism will lead to naught. as the writers congratulate unprecedented wealth for sharing that wealth for pet projects, mostly in foreign lands at the expense of the other American citizens.
The compelling and pathetic stories of rising and failing economic systems and the countries they represent can be found repeatedly throughout human history. The successful economic systems dominating our present "free trade" world can be attributed to "creative capitalism". Families Hit Hard As Food Stamps Buy Less

As our tax base goes down, our welfare demand goes up. We are faced with more pressure for deficit spending as the cost of money is about to explode as confidence in the dollar deteriorates. Yet, our economic policies are locked into a "borrow and spend" consuming economy dominated by banking and other financial interests. Such a policy is dragging our country's citizens into a third world direction.
Meanwhile our "trading partners" are gaining those modern competencies that literally shape and mold the world. Now they are beginning to purchase our farmland, choice real estate, precious factories and technology. All the jobs, high tech and competence are being transferred to other lands at a furious pace as we accumulate debt and unemployed and underemployed citizens. Where is the public demonstrations and petitions for redress of injuries? Where are our patriotic leaders to lead us in a new national direction?
I don't know. However, I do know that the voices of dissent have been almost as effectively silenced in our controlled media and governance as in any authoritarian organization in the history of leadership. The control of our information by a few monopolies is one of the most dangerous consequences of predatory and mercantelistic American capitalism.
Our present leaders must originate a new courage, organize and speak out on the stark danger facing our economic and political system. Emerging leaders must show the way in transforming a discouraged and demoralized citizentry into a unified employed, purposeful force for the Country's renewal. posted 06/21/2008 at 20:20:14

The Financial Sector Is Still In Big Trouble

Dugan, et al. I heard some expert claim that his research supported the finding that commerical real estate has been over-built by abour 49 %. Clearly, based upon the number of for rent signs, housing and rental property has been over-built about as much.
Economic bubbles, government induced, have been disasterous for our economic well being. A decade ago, the telecom bubble produced 100 years more of redundant communication capacity then was needed. Billions of dollars were squandered.
Now the real estate bubble has squandered trillions of dollars that have been borrowed. The productive farm land, raw materials and labor squandered on this over-capacity of supply versus demand is the consequence of short term political gain reflecting short term prosperty at the expense of America's future.
A new economic policy of producing and creating new technologies and sources of energy and other pressing enviromental needs must replace consuming and borrowing. And most likely we must default on our national debt to be able to recover, so our military must be second to none. Our national security must be of highest priority. Nations that default on their obligations have few friends. posted 06/22/2008 at 13:40:23

Ed McMahon Sued By Citibank For Outstanding Debts

A Correction: Based upon the salient ideas of these sage commenters, I must ask forgiveness for the hyperbole I mistaken flowered upon an American who made (and squandered) millions and lived in ostentatious lavishness and now suggests that we commiserate with him. Bootlegged Cigarettes On The Rise As Price With Taxes Approaches $10 A Pack

In the past quarter century as our manufacturing and technological base has atrophied, the cost of government has burgeoned. The costs have been financed through debt and regressive taxation of the middle class. Now sales taxes have reached 10 percent in some taxing jurisdictions. And the extreme taxation of tobacco has actually decreased revenue as citizens quit or substituted other drugs for nicotine. Still many others have gone to other less taxing jursdictions to buy their tobacco.
When taxes reach critical levels, the taxed become unpatriotic or, as in the case of real estate taxes, simply walk away from the burden leaving others to deal with the aftermath. Such unpatriotic citizens will go to great lengths to evade the usurious tax, as is reported in this article on bootlegged cigarettes.

Such a recommendation proves that we need new leadership everywhere. Money has a strangle hold over the present leaders determining the fate of our declining REpublic. posted 03/25/2008 at 21:25:48

Government Benefit Programs in Trouble

The intention of this administration is to stampede panic stricken Americans to undo every last safety net provision of the FDR Administration. Their goal was to funnel social security taxes to the Wall Street , investment banking swindlers so the money would be the fate as our entire financial system is becoming-----bankrupted. The interests of the rich and the interests of the Bush Republicans are the same. The interests of the American people are as servants to inherited wealth. The interests of the American Republic are to make Aristocracy its replacement. Such governance is dangerous. posted 03/25/2008 at 21:38:19

Most Americans Will Save, Not Spend, Tax Rebate Checks

Our political leaders don't give a hoot about the economic issues. They will do anything to stop a recession, even at the expense of a meaningful economic future for our country. And our citizens stare in amazement as money appears as if from nowhere to enrich personal finances. There are some Americans who ask the obvious questions concerning the economic, psychological, and moral consequences of receiving unearned value. The obvious answers make quite clear that this is a preposterous giveaway to pander for votes for reelection. The presumption is that the harmful blowback, as with The Fed's give away, will not be felt until after the election. On this last point, they may be right. posted 03/24/2008 at 22:32:28

4,000 Souls

Senator Byrd: You are a courageous, patriotic American leader who understands the role of our form of governance. There are few in Congress that appear to care about our Republic. You are the last of that group of elected leaders that saw themselves as servants rather than masters of the people. posted 03/24/2008 at 22:05:39
