Our leaders better think through taking on a new obligation of guaranteeing five (5) trillion dollars of mortgagees that were made with no oversight and less supervision. Our housing market is going into unprecedent depreciation. It will most likely depreciate 50-65 percent before its all over. In the Great Depression housing declined about 75-80 percent in three years (1929-1932). So, a 50 to 60 percent correction is a conservative estimate.

We are not yet institutionalized and habitualized to rule by inheritance although the rule of the Bushes have garnered dangerous power in the hands of one family. This bubble will pull us from the top tier to the bottom of the heap of modern nations. We are into financial quicksand and sinking while dissolving our currency. What we should do, rather, is alllow the entire fraudulent assets paper collapse naturally and let the chips lay where they fall. Then wiser leaders representing middle America can adjudicate short and long range goals and strategies to pull us out of the depths of bankruptcy and ruin. If we turn away from our individual selfishness to unified selfless work and sacrifice according to ability, we can yet sustain our Constitution and ideals. The invading occupants kill the resisting Iraqis to save them from the worst fate of dictatorship and slavery. The Iraqis kill the invading occupants to regain their own self-determination, self -espect and mutual understanding as fully acknowledged human beings, fully equivalent with others.

Our political leaders don't give a hoot about the economic issues. They will do anything to stop a recession, even at the expense of a meaningful economic future for our country. And our citizens stare in amazement as money appears as if from nowhere to enrich personal finances. There are some Americans who ask the obvious questions concerning the economic, psychological, and moral consequences of receiving unearned value. The obvious answers make quite clear that this is a preposterous giveaway to pander for votes for reelection.
