I grew up in a wonderful family atmosphere. My Dad worked very hard and my mom stayed home with us. They've been married 56 years and still as happy and giddy as ever.

We had very little when I was growing up so we all had to do our share. My parents were hard workers and when we took a vacation or had to pay an extra bill we worked harder. We never even thought about asking for government help... it was for people that really needed it.

I've been a single father for 13 years now... with sole custody of my kids. I've done it with little to no help from anyone. This is because I refuse to be a victim and I own all of my own failures.

I'm 100% American and proud to be that. I'm thankful EVERY day that I live in the greatest country on the planet.
