Hillary Clinton Support Among White Women Slipping In Pennsylvania

"The feminists didn't "undermine womanhood," they just let the genie out of the bottle for us."

with all due respect to all those who stood up to be treated right, what i strongly obeject to - of the feminist movement during its inception - is the 'bra-burning' aspect. it literally and figuratively 'let down the breasts.' an exclusive and joyous aspect of the 'gloriously unequal', woman.
i agree whole-heartedly about 'hillary riding on bill's coat-tails' - she's the poster-child for nepotism, not the inherent strength of a woman. it confounds me as to how she was allowed to get as far as she's got to in her political ambitions - the nostalgic feminists may need to blush.
it sure is time women simply 'be' - it will be astounding, what a great leader a frillyly-clad woman could be. afterall, in 'heroine' is contained - a man, awoman, a great man AND a great woman. HE HER HERO HEROINE posted 04/15/2008 at 06:18:54
with a name like voltaire... how fortunate i am to stand corrected!

the nuances involved in the feminist agenda are too fine and too fickle to tackle in 250 word comments - but it truly is sad to see women become traitors to their gender in the interest of seeking to be heard. with all due respect to men - o and how i love thee, my own conley - (and all the men i've loved before...) i do suggest that a woman who tries to be a man - stoops. as would be the case, if a man shrinks from his masculinity.)

may the 'moral crisis' be addressed, even if it may not be resolved! posted 04/13/2008 at 23:40:12
i infered that you're anti-women (how?)
not to qualify myself by saying i'm a woman? it's just like you say 'as a man from a minority group'.

AS A STRONG WOMAN , i object to a movement that has undermined the unparalleled and insurmountibe strengths a woman has over men, just as a woman is an idiot who'd try to present herself as the equal to a man who is stronger, physically. yes, i dare suggest that there ARE areas men and women may be better equipped to perform (exceptions aside.) unfortunately, the fight for rights at work has been brought into the homefront that has - in my opinion - contributed to the breakdown of conventional relationships... marriage, as a whole.
if a man and a woman can't appreciate the differences and varying strengths of eachother, what joy is there to be shared ?

that's a snap-shot of my mindset:
objections: women voting for clinton to see a woman elected (to
compensate for their distant struggles - just as it would be pathetic for a black to
vote for obama because of their own distant and arguably more harrowing
struggles)
clinton trying to be 'one-of-the-boys' and thereby letting down womanhood
i.e. she has a mind strong enough and the edge of 'a nurturing nature'
that women (by'n' large are blessed with, above the traditionally more 'cut'n'dry
manner of men).

be authentic. that t is what people respond to. and NEED. of their leadership. go obama. posted 04/13/2008 at 23:29:09
someone - french - said : "the hottest place in hell is reserved for those who stand on the fence, at a time of crisis." if our society here doesn't recognize the insidious nature of the feminist movwment undermining womanhood - AS A WOMAN, i dare suggest that there will come a time when girls will grow up to believe child-bearing is a disgrace (afterall, their 'equal' boyfriend doesn't develop a tummy after sex)
maybe there's more than a tinge of hyperbole - but many a truth is spoken in jest.

"...if they were true feminists, they wouldn't play the gender card, because that's how you get treated as an equal - by not pointing out the differences." - how right you are! today in america - the sky's the limit. for ANYone.

a thought - kenjisan ... ask your friends to play in the field of unfainess, that's where change is needed.
change doesn't come without challengng the status quo. posted 04/13/2008 at 15:51:03
appreciate the caveat, kenjisan - folks who take things out of context reveal their lack of character. and americans are smart. even if emotions may soar, at times.

i refer very specfically to women like those cited in the article who say things to the effect
"... waiting to see a woman elected... but hillary has dissapointed..". much as it can be a driving force for women who had to fight for equality on many platforms, these very same can't drag the country down by living in the past, whereas the present status demonstrtates that the country damn well HAS got beyond those dark days. SO, again - forget your gender. your race. vote as an american. for america. and (even) if in your estimation, hillary is the best - vote for her. finally what will prevail : "peope get the government they deserve" - thereafter, don't gripe. when honesty has been made a casualty... when there's a clear choice of fresh winds - in obama. posted 04/13/2008 at 14:57:30
It is heartening to see voters - women or otherwise - picking a candidate based on merit as opposed to gender or racial preference. i refer to the women turning away from clinton. sadly, some of these wome were going with her ' to see a woman eleted' - christ! think of what's best for the country - your chidren and grand children, in particular... don't be stuck in a time warp. the feminist fought... and achieved much... yet, it also has succeeded in crushing femininity out of strong women - and that makes them so bogus and therefore a turn-off. and hillary, not only has degenerated to being 'one-of-the-boys' she has stooped to 'what-ever-it-takes' type of politicking that is such a bad example to children - girls and boys alike.

so, now that these women voters are re-thinking their selfish agenda-driven voting... pick the best, on merit. a leader is more than policies. it takes an inspirational leader to motivate a people - youngsters in particular - to reach beyond their comfort zones : obama is a gift not to be discarded - for the sake of digging the country out of the dizzying downward spiral it's taken. hand the torch to the youunger generation, mothers. posted 04/13/2008 at 14:32:43

Clinton Becomes A Gun Lover

so, who does she think she's fooling - hillary? swigging down drinks and talking guns. as i woman, i feel sickened by the phony face of feminism. stand for election as a strong woman, woman.
not as one o the boys. america is too smart to be fooled by sacherine parading for sugar.

when will she relent on obama's every word and concentrate instead, on being honest herself? obama is ON THE BUTTON. let's just hope america's understandably bitter millions don't turn away out of selfconsciousness. posted 04/13/2008 at 01:51:04

Who's Really Out of Touch Here?

It truly is time that honesty was welcome on the political platform. thank you obama for you candor and commitment to do your prt in bringing about much needed change - yes, to the millions of bitter folks. ok bitter is an unplatable word is it? sunstitute it with your own choice. but, be honest. like obama is. posted 04/13/2008 at 01:20:02

Obama: No Surprise That Hard-Pressed Pennsylvanians Turn Bitter

Facts are stubborn - or is it like 'don't ask don't tell'?

obama is on the button. folks may not WISH to acknowledge they may be bitter. over ANYthing... but bitterness is an emotion that everyone experiences, in thier personal circumstances, fleetingly, or lasting: and obama addressed the fact that lots of working class folks are UNDERSTANDABLY bitter, for a long time. and yes, they do turn more strongly towards or againsts issues that are lurking in their lives, when they're not occupied in the way they desire to be: working class folks love to work.

"idleness breeds reptiles in the mind" that is something i read somewhere - it somehow comes to mind. and any kind of obsession - religion, guns, resentment, obesity ... excess, is reptiles in the mind.

is america ready for an honest leader - or more of the politicking kind who wouldn't address the deep-seeded issues but play on war-games and racial divisions, etc etc. obam IS just what the doctored ordered for arguably the greatest nation on eart - now fragmented and bleeding. rally, for america's sake... behind the monumental inspiration that's obama. posted 04/12/2008 at 14:47:26

Hillary's Diversionary Tactic Is Feeding The GOP Noise Machine

what a truly audacious woman hillary is - doesn't she know one can choose one's husband too? or did she remain with bill clinton - after the deplorable conduct/example (of a father to a young daugter) IN THE WHITE HOUSE - yes, expidient. that perhaps is why this 'holier than thou' woman remained with her CHOSEN husband - to ride on the 'clinton' bandwagon to the white house (even years later.)
continue to ride the higher plains obama - you don't dump your friends. however flawed they may be.
you truly are the one christ will vote for.

nothing worse can happen to american politics than for a two-faced woman to be elected, through insidious politicking/manipulations. let the lament not be: 'people get the government they deserve.'
i.e. if the voters just go with the old familiar same-ol same ol - without truly scrutinizing the lack of character that hillary has shown. it's be to the eternal shame of america - if a once-in-a-lifetime leader like obama is missed out on. posted 03/26/2008 at 10:02:45
