In my younger days, I worked as as a Tasman Championship winning racing mechanic for Graham McRae. Wolfgang Klopfer asked me to write a chapter of my two seasons for his book Formula 5000 in New Zealand and Australia - Race by Race, which got very good reviews in Australia.

I retired after 36 years experience with United Air Lines as an aircraft mechanic and currently writing a political/ Sci-Fi novel.

I have a very keen interest in the hydrogen economy, including solar generation of H2 and its storage in metal hydrides. There is also the possibility of its use to reduce air conditioning power requirements to 1/3 to 1/2 of current Freon systems.
