This morning on CNN a republican adviser said what everyone, including Clinton, knew - McCain would use the Clinton playbook to try to defeat Obama. Hillary views this as a two step race for the white house. If she loses the nomination, which she has, then she try to make it impossible for Obama to win the general. This will set up her second step which is to run again in 2012. She knows she cannot win this primary and is only hanging in to damage Obama as much as possible.
