Obama Responds To Bush, McCain Appeasement Attack

Well you have to give credit to McBush. Who else in their right mind would think that repeating the same thing over and over again will get a different result the next time?! The U.S. has been in the middle of this Bush created civil war for 5 plus years now, and he and McCain still think that 140,000 troops (a substantial number of which are support and not combat) can control a country that is the approx. size of California and has over 22,000,000 people fighting each other over whose religion is the "real" religion and which religion should control the oil. (By the way, the answer to the last question in Bush's mind is Halliburton should control the oil.)

If Iraq is the republican's strong suit, there is no way they can avoid the democrats having a super majority in Congress and taking the WH back from the Great Pretender. posted 05/17/2008 at 07:55:57

Tennessee GOP Attacks Michelle Obama, Obama Camp Hits Back

What a sad, pathetic bunch of losers the GOP is comprised of.

They had 8 years of virtual unfettered control of the country and used that time to ruin the economy, destroy our standing in the world, endanger the environment and eliminate the middle class upon which our democracy depends.

Although, they did manage, albeit unintentionally, to do one thing - unite a previously divided nation in its desire for change from GOP control.

And what is the GOP's sad and wanting response to its critics - to slander the wife of the presumed Democratic nominee in an attempt to win an election by divisiveness, personalities and lies as they did in 2000 and 2004. PATHETIC. posted 05/16/2008 at 09:18:10

Although they each have substantially more experience than HRC and each has been loyal to the Dem party, none of them made demands as conditions of their dropping out. Point well taken . . . but it is off the issue underlying my post.

Obama did not start or even suggest starting the backlash movement by blacks if HRC was the nominee. On the other hand, HRC has herself and through her surrogates always attempted to threaten retaliation if she was not the nominee and Obama was. For example, as late as day before yesterday, she attempted to play the race card by saying "hard working" whites would not vote for Obama. Yesterday another threat was made by her big money backers to not contribute to the Dem party if HRC did not get her way with counting votes of states in which Obama never ran (apparently these money people of hers fail to realize that the Obama campaign was funded with small donations). posted 05/10/2008 at 11:59:10

I hope you are correct because if you are not, Obama will lose my support and the support of others like me who contributed to his campaign because we wanted a change from government by people like HRC. posted 05/09/2008 at 06:54:46
If I knew that the Obama campaign would even consider using donations to Obama to pay Clinton campaign debts, I would not have contributed. I, and I am sure the majority of other contributors, made contributions in order that, as his contribution solicitation emails etc. pleaded for, Obama would have the financial resources necessary to fend off Clinton's personal attacks, lies and outright racist tactics (which as late as yesterday were still ongoing). I find it offensive and downright disingenuous that Obama would use contributions to him to in effect pay Clinton's expenses incurred by her to pay for her personal attacks and lies.

P.S. , Clinton's campaign financial situation is due to her mismanagement of her finances. If Clinton cannot run a campaign on nearly $200 Million, how does anyone think she can run the finances of the country? And as for using Obama campaign contributor's money to repay Clinton the $11 Million she loaned her campaign, let her take it out of the $100 + Million she and hubby Billy made (and will no doubt continue to make) exploiting their government positions. She can afford it far better than those people to whom the contribution of $25 to Obama was a sacrifice, albeit willingly made because they so strongly believe the country needs a change of course. posted 05/09/2008 at 06:38:39

If you want to have Hillary take credit for things done during Bill's term then she has to also assume responsibility for the negative - like supporting NAFTA and a failed health care reform etc. But of course with the Hillary team it is pick and choose and assume responsibility for nothing. She is a disaster and is dividing the democratic party on purpose. As soon as it appeared that she lost the nomination it has been all she can do to undermine Obama. The idea being that she runs again in 4 years without Obama in the field. She is just a lying, conniving, money grubbing, power hungry bitch - period. If her ability to a campaign is any indication of her effectiveness as president, then you pray she is not nominated or elected. Has she ever paid those vendors in California, or are they still in court? posted 05/01/2008 at 09:30:16
"Fox News has been fairer to you than NBC News, and a lot of the other liberal news networks"

Gee. Wonder why Fox and the other pro-republican media are so "fair" to Hillary.
Could it be that she has a near 50% disapproval rating in her own democratic party, and a 97% negative with republicans, or that her candidacy in the general election would actually bring republican voters out to vote when they might otherwise stay home (because they are fed up with the republican politicians), and all that makes her unelectable? No - they just want to be fair and balanced like they always have been. posted 05/01/2008 at 06:13:29

Clinton-Linked Group Behind Deceptive North Carolina Robo-Calls

I know. Hillary can't control or be responsible for everything people who support her do.
She is very sorry for this but can't apologize or rectify the situation with corrective robo calls because she had nothing to do with it and it would distract from her campaign to save the little people she has all of a sudden become the champion for. posted 05/01/2008 at 06:07:03

Clinton Attacks McCain Over Wright Ad

"OK. Now maybe the other sniping and lying I did didn't work. But I think I have it this time. How about I go after the republican candidate instead of destroying the democratic party. This campaigning thing is really more complicated than I thought." posted 04/28/2008 at 23:52:10

Clinton Trumpets Blue Collar Pitch In Indiana

William Kristol, the water carrier for the GOP who also has a column in the NYT (for some unknown reason) says in today's column: "Since we conservatives believe in giving credit where credit is due, it falls to us to praise Hillary Clinton."

First, to be completely accurate he should have added "when it suits our purposes" to the phrase "we conservatives believe in giving credit where credit is due".

Second, you know the republicans see a Hillary nomination as the best chance to put McCain in the WH when they praise Hillary, a person they never said a positive (forget kind) word about ever until recently.

And last, Hillary has never been anywhere near a blue collar worker except on the campaign trail when she needed votes or a photo op. Her father was upper middle class business owner and she personally has never held a non-professional position at any time in her life. Her obsequious pandering to blue collar workers is offensive. Especially when it has taken her 60 years to finally even recognize blue collar workers and the effect on them that NAFTA, which she originally supported, had. And the media buys into her BS without a question. posted 04/28/2008 at 07:04:19

McCain calls Obama insensitive to poor people

"John McCain on Sunday called Democratic rival Barack Obama insensitive to poor people and out of touch on economic issues."

Unlike McCain who, being the in touch sensitive person he is, divorced his poor first wife to marry into a fortune and stays in touch with the working class by talking with the flight crew on his wife's private jet. posted 04/28/2008 at 07:13:41

Steel Prices Nearly Doubled In Past Year

Having checked out the web site - I agree. For anyone who hasn't figured it all out yet, for a buck I will tell you how. On second thought, keep the dollar. True number is always double or half the number shown by government. In order to know whether to multiply or divide, just ask which way would be most detrimental to the government and offensive to the people. posted 04/28/2008 at 07:33:14

Barack Obama On Fox News Sunday: Watch Video

Forget about Iraq, the economy, global warming, health care, unemployment and international relations - we want to hear about the things Fox News deems most important in choosing a president:

lapel pins
things a person supporting a candidate may or may not have said or meant
people who lived in homes near the candidate
people the candidate spoke to 40 years ago
what the candidate eats and why

What a sad commentary that the campaign for president comes down to this, especially at a time when the country has been driven to the brink of bankruptcy and the world made unstable by Bush/Cheney and The Sheep (aka the republican congress). posted 04/28/2008 at 06:38:32
No Lapel Pin !!! How coould he be remotely qualified to be president without one.

This is the big republican/Fox issue!? A nonsensical relationship between a flag pin and qualifications!

I guess that means Washington, Jefferson, Adams, Roosevelt(s), Eisenhower and Kennedy (to name a few) were all unfit. If only Fox was there to tell us so we could have prevented them from assending to the presidency in order that we could have had more fit people like George Bush, who in 7 short years has done what none of his predicessors could or would - bankrupt the entire country and destablize the entire world. posted 04/27/2008 at 22:15:31

McCain Exploited Legal Loophole To Use Wife's Jet On The Cheap

You don't understand. There are two standards.

If you are a republican then this is expected, even desired. It is like inbreeding so the wealth doesn't dissipate. McCain's family had the credentials of a high ranking military family with generations of service to the US and Kitty or Cindy or whatever her name is had the family money. It was a match made in republican heaven. posted 04/27/2008 at 09:28:43

Party Leaders To Hear Florida, Michigan Delegate Challenges

Hillary: "I know that prior to the FL and MI primaries I said: 'I personally did not think it makes any difference whether my name is on the ballot. It is clear that the primaries in Florida and Michigan will not count for anything'. But I did not expect to be behind. And now that I am, and need the votes from those states I think they should count. The fact I had no opposition because the other candidates kept their names off the ballots in accordance with the mandate of the Democratic party is just tough shit. I want that nomination. I am entitled to it. It is my turn. And if the American people do not understand that, well fuck'em because the super delegates understand it and will hand me the nomination." posted 04/26/2008 at 15:03:17

Democrats Fear Clinton's Attacks May Cause Racial Backlash

Problem is that HRC (1) has an almost 50% disapproval rating WITH DEMOCRATS. (2) will bring out the Republican voters who would otherwise stay home because they are fed up with Bush and what his republican cronies have done, but who hate HRC enough to come out to vote against her, (3) has a disapproval rating with republicans in th 97% range, and (4) because of her dirty tricks will not get much of the minority vote - Black or Hispanic. In short - IT IS HRC WHO IS UNELECTABLE. posted 04/26/2008 at 13:14:20

David Rockefeller Pledges $100 Million To Harvard

Your premise is inaccurate. But, barring that, yes - I do believein thievery. It is an old and noble profession, much like prostitution, and should be made legal. Oh, that's right. Bush and Cheney already did that. Never mind. posted 04/27/2008 at 09:21:41
