Amen brother, that pretty well summarizes the view of this guy on the Chicago "L" I was talking with. He is just a working guy, and he is spitting mad at the fact that Bush has taken specific steps to decimate the US Constitution. I think 60% of the American People would like to punch him in the mouth. Kick him in the ass, too. I don't want to suggest we want to do that, but that many people would like to....

Someone please submit a short list of VP candidates, together with a short WHY and alternate placement if that person does NOT get selected (clearly a short list is a list of many desirable people who would be strong in many possible positions). Personally, I want to know WHO could be Secretary of State, Secretary of Defense, Secretary of Education, Secretary of Energy, Attorney General, or short summaries by the Obama team of the critical criteria for these posts.

And I have the same experience with MY relatives. Can you imagine the words I was brought up with about Blacks, Jews, Chinese, Italians, Latinos, Polish and Muslims back then? It was all right for whites to say that back then. BACK THEN. No one called them on it, and if you did (I did), I was punished. SO. That would be typical white to me.

I was raised as a typical white in a Republican family. Later, I learned better. I wept when MLK and RFK were murdered in cold blood by those who feared their message and took steps to silence them. I understand now what happened in the 60s and 70s. I understand full well the racial slander that is being directed to people of colour and I know what is coming next, sadly.

I have heard those same words uttered against immigrants, against GLBT people, against Muslims, against anyone who the speakers feels they can GET AWAY with tearing down. Beatings of Latinos, beatings of gays, and bashing out of windows of Muslims in the nicest neighbourhoods, formerly WASP, now mixed neighbourhoods.

And the same thing is being done to bash Obama. Why? These good ole boys are scared, threatened by the future and I think they will be directed to take steps to silence him. Wait...!

And then...? I say name the frame now. Call the bastards at Faux Noise just what they are, instigators to violence.
