I'm just wrapping up a career of 40 years as a clinical psychologist, 17 of those years with Kaiser Permanente in Northern CA. For the last 8 years I have also been very active in my union (SEIU UHW). As professionals we were driven to unionize in 2000 to protect our benefits and have equitable wages as. I currently moderate a members-only blog for the 5000 professional UHW union members who work for Kaiser Permanente in California.
