Was Race a Strong Factor in Clear Clinton Win in Pennsylvania?

For MagestierLudi: Blacks did not begin in the primary supporting Obama--they had their minds changed by Obama's opponent's appeal to and use of the race card, so perhaps their voting for Obama is purely defensive--against already historically established, lived in, and continuing racism (whether openly admitted or not) of whites toward blacks. Merely looking at the choice of candidate to support by race does not tell the whole story. Let's face it: the history of racism lies with whites, not blacks. I would hardly equate the two and think myself correctly informed, anti racist or intelligent. posted 04/23/2008 at 13:36:28

Pastor Of Clinton's Former Church: Don't Use Wright To Polarize

Who does Hillary Clinton think she is to preach to blacks on how to respond to America's racism? I am very weary of those whites who enjoy all the goodies oppression of blacks has netted for this country, who then turn around and try to tell blacks how to behave--chastises them for daring to resist racial oppression. What hype! posted 03/26/2008 at 18:53:48

Hillary's Diversionary Tactic Is Feeding The GOP Noise Machine

Had you read the full text of Rev. Wright's speeches you would understand why Obama stayed at his church. Reading the full text of the speeches reveal how someone had to spend many hours mining the minister's sermons so as to pick here and ther for words that when isolated from the text sounded really bad, then put them all together in on little video. You may not be consciously racist, but you surely are too trusting of what you hear as news or too lazy to find out for yourself. posted 03/26/2008 at 20:35:07
I understand that it is an insult to blacks when you say you don't see color, instead of saying I see your color but I don't associate the bad and negative things usually asociated with it. Blacks don't appreciate being rendered invisible to accomodate someone's unconscious racism.

Makes sense to me... posted 03/26/2008 at 20:27:42
Yes.

In Frank Schaeffer's 3/21/08 Huffpost entitled "This Good Friday Let Us Not Crucify Barack Obama" there just such information. He states that he "...was a guest on a PRI radio show the day after Obama delivered is historic speech on race. I was a guest along with a person that the host introduced as "most responsible" for making Obama's minister's charged comments into a political football. According to the host's introduction, Republican activist, Ronald Kessler used his website to turn Obama's minister's words into the story the media jumped on."

Check out the full article--it is enlightening. posted 03/26/2008 at 19:58:19
Amen! So directly to the point! posted 03/26/2008 at 19:37:36
It is recognized that it is Hillary's right to continue run--nobody thinks otherwise. It is just so very foolish to do so, given the reality of what is both needed now and wise. posted 03/26/2008 at 19:34:40
If you read the complete speeches of Rev. Wright, then you would see just how wrong Hillary is. Then she is also wrong in telling blacks what they should say and/or believe regarding their very own oppression. If she has nothing to say about the wrongness of the oppression that gives rise to such comments, then she is very wrong in condeming folks resistance to that oppression. posted 03/26/2008 at 19:30:08
I suppose the real christians are those who call Rev. Wright a liar for telling the truth? posted 03/26/2008 at 19:26:20
