Massive Blowback To NARAL's Obama Endorsement

Mattie, your bitterness is very unattractive. It will eat you up if you don't let it go. posted 05/15/2008 at 21:38:49
Very well said. I agree with you completely. It is unbelievable that a little known senator from Illinois could beat the best known Democrat in the country - the two of them because make no mistake, millions of those votes for Hillary were actually for Bill - who had the whole party machinery behind her and all the big donors. It shows how badly she ran her campaign and conversely, how well Barack ran his. It also shows that his message of new politics is what the country wants.

All these bitter bitter women who are ranting about how unfairly Hillary has been treated really have their blinders on. As a woman, I'm embarrassed to read a lot of their posts. Barack has a superlative record on women's rights....and for equal rights for all. He'll be an excellent president and will look after the concerns of his wife and his sister and his daughters as well as all other women in the country. posted 05/15/2008 at 21:37:52

Obama Using Cross Flyer In Kentucky

He didn't convert. What are you implying he converted from? He grew up in a non-religious household. His mother and father were both agnostic and religion of any kind was simply not a factor in his youth. He started going to church on his own when he was living and working in Chicago and saw how important faith was to many of the people he worked with and for. posted 05/14/2008 at 23:15:32

Let's all hope that the next time a 'Hillary Clinton' comes along it will be a woman of integrity and honot that all people can get behind because they're the best candidate. People aren't voting overwhelmingly for Barack just because he's black, they're voting for him because they believe he's the right person for the job.

How sad that you think gender is more important than capability. Women will never get to the top of the heap if you continue to push flawed candidates just because they're women. Push for women, for sure, but demand that they meet the same criteria as you'd demand of any person. And by the way, I'm a woman who has fought many many feminist battles over the years. posted 05/14/2008 at 06:21:24

C'mon. Do your homework. It's not a lie. It's not false. Hillary will mandate everyone to purchase health insurance. Mandate means forcing people to buy it. She even said on tv that the penalty for not purchasing insurance may include garnishing someone's wages. Massachusetts has a mandate and they apply penalties on people's tax returns if they don't have insurance. So, yes, Obama's ads were truthful. The Undeniable Virtue of Jeremiah Wright's Pro-Blackness (and the Problem with Pro-Whiteness)

I understand what you're saying bobdob. I am a huge Obama supporter and was one of those who sought out Wright's full sermons because I believed that if Obama chose him to be his pastor, he must be a very good man. I was furious with how the MSM distorted those clips and slimed Barack by playing them over and over and over again.

As brilliant as I think Obama is, and as wonderfully as he has run his campaign, I was a little disappointed in how strongly he disavowed Rev Wright's comments. I really would have liked him to have called out the media for the hackjob they were doing on his pastor. I could understand the political way Obama was handling this, but like you say, I think he could have defended him better. Rush Limbaugh Claims Victory in Pennsylvania

You're right. Most people have no time to do Limpball's moronic deeds for him but your state of Texas proves that it happened. Hillary wins (barely) the popular vote in Texas, but when it came time for these Hillary voters to actually spend hours at the caucus, it didn't happen. Now, Barack has a well-honed get out the vote ground game and was probably going to do better at the caucus anyway, but the reduction in the number of Hillary caucus goers compared to the number of Hillary voters implies that there was indeed some hanky panky going on. posted 04/26/2008 at 06:50:10

Defining Obama

You're right. Barack has often provided details of his vision, plus details of economic plans, plus details of foreign policy, plus details of his education plan, etc etc etc. He's every bit as wonky as Hillary and has the added benefit of being able to give an inspirational speech. But have you seen any of that wonkyness covered by the MSM? They've controlled (unfortunately) the message that has gotten out to the general public and then have the cojones to have pundits sit there for hours on end talking about his lack of specifics!!!

You mention a couple of good possibilities, but did you know he's already had forums on a number of issues? Bet you didn't, nor does the rest of the American public. They've gotten such minimal media attention, people don't realize how brilliant he is and what amazing people he has advising him in these areas. Obama's problem is that he speaks adult grown up language and assumes that his listeners are intelligent enough to understand his trains of thought without him having to get out the crayolas and draw them a picture. Fortunately, to date, more millions of people and voters and delegates are in fact intelligent enough to understand what he's saying. No she wasn't. She has been out there campaigning as hard as she ever did. Just because the MSM doesn't show her appearances every day like they do Bill and Chelsea, doesn't mean she isn't working very hard. Barack is not only working against the established Democratic party machine, the corporate world that wants to keep their seat in the white house with McCain and Clinton, the name recognition of a former president, but he's also up against the free publicity machine the MSM gives to all the Clintons. Plus he's up against a goodly portion of 50% of the population who, like you, thinks a woman, any woman, should be in the white house. In a normal year, against normal opposition, Obama would have wrapped up this nomination months ago. You Clintonites just parrot Hillary's talking points without even stopping to think about whether you're making any sense or not. Usually you're not. posted 03/27/2008 at 05:45:41

The Day Hillary Clinton Knew She Had Lost

You and Bill and Hillary and all her supporters and campaign workers have repeated the lie that the big bad mean old press has been picking on Hillary for so long and so often, you all now believe it. You just can't seem to figure out and accept that there have been been a lot of positive stories about Barack Obama because there have been so many positive things happen to him and his campaign.

Many months before he even started to climb up in the polls to get close to her, people were sending his campaign more money. It was a big positive story. He campaigned so well and introduced himself to voters and they decided they liked him. Liked HIM, because of what he stood for, not because the media told them to. And they started voting for him in great numbers. It was a positive story and reported by the media. What the hell would you have wanted the media to say? He won dozens of elections. Should the media have reported otherwise?

Meantime, Hillary very early on had problems. Her fundraisers were crooked. Does the name Hsu ring a bell with you? Should the press have ignored that? In Iowa, she pulled all sorts of shady stunts. Kindergarten papers? Billy Shaheen? Bob Kerrey? Any of those ring a bell with you? And it's the media's fault they reported these things? Give me a break. Hillary has gotten glowing press in all sorts of areas. Remember all those 15 or so debates months ago. Virtually every poll said the viewers thought Edwards or Obama won most of them but the media fell all over themselves raving about how terrific Hillary had done, how presidential she was, how smart she was and had all the answers. Trust me, Edwards and Obama supporters had plenty of complaints about the unfair bias of the press towards Clinton but you guys weren't complaining then. It's only since she began losing so badly that the press became a convenient scapegoat for her and she started to play up her victim role. To this day she's still getting far better press than she deserves. She's lost more than half the elections held to date but they're still talking about her having a chance to win even though she doesn't. Anybody else would have been laughed out of town long ago. There is a truckload of dirt that could have been thrown at her and Bill but Obama is too classy to play the dirty politics game so she's getting a free ride there too. So kwitcher bitchin, and quit blaming her woes on a press that she's manipulated since day one. posted 03/22/2008 at 07:49:22

The Other Bill

Hell, if you had read any of her multiple live blogging posts of the debates you'd know she's had no use for Obama ever. Fairness and transparency. Yeah right. posted 03/22/2008 at 08:43:48
