Electing Sweetie

Obama and his wife think they should be our first family. Why? Because America has offered them such fantastic opportunities and they want more.

Have they sacrificed anything? Have they served this country and its people?

This whole situation is disgusting.

Pay back is necessary. I will vote for a Democratic Congress and protect the Supreme Court appointees by doing so. Obama and his supporters need to be rejected for their opportunism and false values. Write in Hillary at the top of the ballot. posted 05/16/2008 at 19:02:56
Obama doesn't want to get his hands dirty.
He can't stand on his own two feet.
His supporters have to carry him,
Or he has to cling to a church pulpit.

Obama throws his chin in the air,
And looks down at us.
When he isn't reading a telepromter,
He stumbles and stutters with his words and thoughts.

Who is the real Obama?
What can he really DO?

Who does he think we are?
Sweeties? Consumers? Just ready and able to serve him?

What does he think America is?

His strategy all along has been to organize in churches like the religious right did to elect Bush. Obama is the 3rd Bush term. He likes rigid ideologues backing him. They do not see through his shiny veneer as long as he has a crusaders cross behind him.

Enough with religion in politics! The religious left is as dangerous as the religious right. How dare Obama bring the white hating Rev Wright into our public life and how dare he masquarade as a Christian. He is a mere hater like his adopted father. No one will believe the truth because the masses want a messiah so badly. The masses will do whatever Obama tells them to do. They will stone women and behead the white men who don't grovel at his feet.

I think he should build himself a big arena with a gigantic pulpit so he can give us all those BIG speeches he is so good at. All this while we are groveling at his feet for bread and clean water.

I also see him as a dictator like Americans only imagined in foreign countries. He is the king of censorship. He is very weak minded as a character and will need lots of props to encourage him that he is the GREATEST. Maybe there will be lots of "sweeties" dancing at his feet.

I am assuming you are AA since you called me a racist and that seems to be what Obama has led you to believe is alright to do to anyone who questions voting for him. So if you are AA and are voting 92+ for Obama - doesn't that show an inability to think. You know - to think for yourself? No one else votes that way. No one.

I thought I had seen attitudes change toward women in my lifetime. We were needed in the workplace and we responded. We took on twice the work and wanted our due respect and asked for it. I thought we respected ourselves having gone through this process.

But I was wrong. Women and AA's are ghetto-ized by our own attitudes of self hate. To hate Hillary the way most posters exhibit on these propaganda blogs is self hate. The Democratic party has become the Hate Party or the Ghetto Party under Obama's leadership. I am a moderate Democrat. I will not go the way of the party any longer.

I suffer along with Hillary as a woman in this environment of hate. I admire Hillary's stamina for working for me and my issues despite this environment. My dream has died. Hillary gave us all a chance with her candidancy and as women and as people of color - we are a big disappointment. She nurtured our aspirations and dreams during her tireless hard work all these years and this is how we pay her back? Mothers everywhere must be heartbroken.

Obama, in contrast, is not only a champion of the boy's club - but has sold the Democratic Party to something foreign like our whole country has been sold to foreigners. I guess he will just fit right in.

Meanwhile women will continue to do all the work to nurture life while the boys club kills it off. posted 05/15/2008 at 10:48:14

Hillary has had to fight for every vote she has gotten and she can win the General because of her broad base of support.

Obama has only had to play the race card and fool the pacifists that he can make us liked in the world again. Won't happen but he organized the churches ahead of time. They voted for a messiah. Then he organized the young and fooled them into thinking he would do things differently than "Washington" and it was all right to hate the Clintons and older people. How foolish for anyone to buy into that tactic but the young are the young. Then he scammed the caucuses in the red states. Once he got the win in Iowa, he was able to fool black people into thinking he was a winner by getting white people to vote for him.

Obama is a poker player. He has nothing to bring to the table except inexperience and a poker face.

I consider Obama dangerous because of his inexperience and the means he has used to take over the Democratic Party. Playing the race card is dangerous and Obama did it from the very beginning. Obama gains superdelegates after trading wins with Clinton

The point is that pacifists, the AA community and young people cannot win the General Election by themselves. They will have a very hard time showing the rest of us that they will have the interest of America in mind with their choice of candidate. If Obama gets the nomination he will lose McGovern like - or lose at least 49 states. Obama may win the nomination by blackmail - but the rest of us Democrats know we are being blackmailed. The superdelegates are suppose to save the party from extinction by voting their conscious. The AA community and other Obama supporters won't let them. I call it blackmail which is even more reason not to vote for Obama. He won't honor American voters. He plays a game of poker with a really bad hand and his bluff might just work. It will just prove to the rest of Americans how weak and impotent the Democratic Party is - they can't even stand up to one of their own. posted 05/08/2008 at 09:59:53
It was poor judgement for Obama to run in this primary election. I vote on experience and policies. I'm guessing that it is more than a third of Hillary supporters who will not vote for Obama in the General. Obama's "math" does not represent very many General Electric voters. By scamming the primary process (flooding the caucuses in particular so that the win in red states only represent 3-4% of the GE Democratic voters) - he looked more electable than he was. Even primaries represent only 15% of GE Democratic voters.

If the Democratic Party nominates such a weak candidate with the GE election voters, they will be committing suicide. They know it. They also know they are being blackmailed by the AA community.

What to do? Let Obama do the suicide act. The summer will tell the story. If Hillary is not nominated at the convention, a majority of her supporters will accept that the party label has been taken away. We will find a new party. I will not vote for a suicide terrorist. That is what Obama will represent by the end of the summer to most Americans. posted 05/08/2008 at 09:45:04

Superdelegates Must Tell Color of Change What it Can Do With its Silly Vote for Obama Petition

Thank you Earl. You are one of a very few I like reading on Huffpo. I feel hope reading your blog. Hillary is so prepared to fight the good fight for average typical Americans. Obamamath has been so awful and feels like such a bully tactic to use. Obamamath makes most of us feel hopeless. It scams the caucus system giving Obama way too many delegates for the number of supporters in these states and will not contribute to a win in the General. Voters, this year especially, want our votes to really count. I appreciate using the popular vote and the electoral vote being the important math to look at.

What many Obama supporters and his campaign fail at, I believe, is talking to real people. We are not all typical white people. We are flesh and blood humans struggling with food and gas prices. Obama would look better to me if he just said he would answer our questions whenever and whereever he has to because he trusts us. Obama trying to shut down the conversation and not wanting any more debates and saying he has answered enough and acting like he is above us is not going to work.

The only difference between a dictatorship and a democracy is that the person with the power of the Presidency has to come to the American people every four years and answer our questions.

Does Obama want a dictatorship where he just gets to give us those big speeches and all we can do is listen? You know - like in church? posted 05/01/2008 at 12:31:55

Kerry Rips MSNBC On Wright: 'You People Need To Let Go Of This'

I think Kerry never really had a good answer to those swiftboat ads. Likely his fellow officers exaggerated on the forms to get the medals. And then Kerry threw them away - or was it - that he threw them away and then he didn't - he just threw other ones away. In any case - there were legitimate questions about his love for our country.

I was an anti-war demonstrator in the 60's too - but I love this country and I don't want to have to question whether my President loves this country.

Obama has the same problem as Kerry. Does he really love this country enough to be President?

Everyone wanting to shut down the conversation bothers me. posted 05/01/2008 at 11:17:00
The media needs to ask the questions the voters have. I want to know why Obama had such bad judgement to stay in that church after 9/11.

Obama's speeches sound too much like Wright - "Young people unite and get rid of the old folks. Tear down the bridge to the past and follow me. I will give you the power you so deserve."

I think Obama is ageist, racist and sexist. I want the referees to discuss these issues.

Kerry really is a loser. All the losers in the Democratic party are backing Obama - Kennedy, Kerry, etc Kerry never learned how to answer the questions the voters have and ended up with the same elitist image. posted 05/01/2008 at 11:11:09
No transparency, no accoutability and last of all - blaming the media when they have gotten a free ride. I've wanted these questions answered for a long time. Better still - I'd like better answers from Obama.

He is going to be a President who thinks he is above it all. I don't know if he even understands a democracy where transparency and accountability are essential. We want to make informed decisions. We want our votes to count.

The media has not been good referees until now. And Obama wants to shut it down.

I think he will prove worse than Bush on this issue. posted 05/01/2008 at 10:58:35

Was Barack Obama's Response To Rev. Wright Persuasive?

What drama!

I think Rev Wright just claimed Obama as his adopted son and he will claim his place in history next to Obama. That bully pulpit that the President has is so so intoxicating to these two men. I cannot see Obama any differently than his adopted father now. He developed his whole identity with this man.

I have always seen Obama as the new preacher man. This is toxic to America.

Rev Wright declared himself the father and Obama the son.

Rev Wright will not be denied his place in prophetic history.

He will keep coming after Obama to live up to him as a good son. He will not stay in the basement. That was interesting to find out Rev Wright was still at Obama's coming out announcement for the Presidency. He gave the prayer in the basement before Obama and his family appeared on the Capital steps.

Obama should step down. Voters, the American people, do not want any more of this drama between Obama and his pastor. Listen to the American people for once and do your civic duty. There will be lots of apologists for what has transpired between Rev Wright and Obama. Communicate what we are feeling too.

This is our time as Americans to move ahead. We cannot do that with Obama. He is not credible any longer. Obama - please step down. Do it for your country and the American people. posted 04/30/2008 at 13:12:41

Why Is It So Quiet After the Moyers-Wright Interview?

No - Blacks made it a racial issue when they all started voting in bloc. And Obama made it a racial issue when his campaign would not allow any criticism by Hillary. Same thing as now - you are dictating the narrative in these blogs now that the media is only listening to the internet users. I have never experienced such censorship. A vote for Obama is to change the national religion. He acts like a preacher. And talks like a preacher. And thinks that is the job of President - the bully pulpit. That is why his supporters act like bullies I guess. posted 04/26/2008 at 15:13:40

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

I take Rev Wright seriously too. I know what I feel and think listening to this kind of sermon.
Obama has so little experience in this country (mainland), he knows so little about us. He has so little experience, he let his south side Chicago friends become his political family as well. Other religious people on the left have accepted these political attitudes. It is like some kind of bad karma within the Democratic Party.

Most democrats who vote in the General will want no part of this new political religion. Obama's friends really do say everything we need to know. The media not being willing to cover this the way it needs to be feels like we are already experiencing what a dictatorship feels like. Our votes don't count. Obama has scammed the Democratic Party and taken it from the white working class. It is all many of us had to hope for something better.

All the journalistic apologies today for Rev Wright and Obama are sickening. Yes, the white working class understands more who you are and who we are. We are not the same on this issue and the values it represents. posted 04/26/2008 at 13:54:15

No Laughing Matter: Obama Has Real Problems With Voters He Needs in November

I changed to Independent also.

I'm embarrassed by my Democratic Party label now. I always defended democrats too as being the patriotic defenders of the working class, social security and medicare, and not war mongers. Bill Clinton never sent in ground troops without being under the UN. This was all good to me.

Obama supporters are racist toward whites and not even pro American. They are liberal elites and I can't believe they are democrats. They just made me embarrassed to be a Democrat.

I think as Democrats we have ignored "Middle America" too long and not won the Presidency because of our own failings. My husband is a "Reagan Democrat" and is upset that he voted for Reagan. He is a disabled worker from the lead and gold mines. His career was shortchanged when the mines shut down in the mid 80's because of economic changes that Reagan made. He was determined to vote Democratic this year. He does not want to vote against his economic interest ever again. But he will not vote for Obama. Obama is not in touch with who he is and he cannot feel right about voting for someone that out of touch with America.

Obama is too far out of the mainstream. I don't like the way working class people are talked about by his supporters either. I appreciate that you still want to believe in him. It is out of our hands now.
Obama has already alienated middle America. The numbers from PA show that. The numbers from the remaining primaries will show that too. His negatives will only go down.

It is Obama's decision when to leave the contest. If he wants a future in the Democratic Party he will have to try not to be seen as the loser. We in the Democratic party do not give losers another chance. So Obama needs to make sure he doesn't let his negatives go too low.

Obama cannot blame Hillary and Bill and the debate moderators and the press and working people - any longer. The Republicans are attacking him now and he needs to show how well he can stand up to them and to McCain.

I predict he will let it go on too long and lose his change to run again over it. He'll be like Kerry or Kennedy in the Senate and no longer have any real influence over the party. He will become one of the losers. posted 04/24/2008 at 15:31:12

That is why Obama can't win the General. No matter how "right" you are (and I actually agree with you) - the American public is not ready to dismantle our national security interests.

Think beyond your ideology and think about the American public as a whole and what most Americans are ready for. This will determine how people vote in the General. posted 04/24/2008 at 12:40:01
The results from the exit polls in PA show that about twice the number of Hillary voters will either not vote or vote for McCain.

Hillary supporters represent more of the moderates in the party so this makes sense to me that the strongest feelings against Obama are from this group. We will not vote for someone so ill prepared to have this much power and control over our resources - no matter that he is a Democrat. As far as I'm concerned, Obama represents a third party trying to take over the Democratic label. posted 04/24/2008 at 12:17:40
I agree "MoreCowBellNow".

There are so many of us that will not vote for Obama - I hope the superdelegates listen to us.

Obama shows how weak he is by complaining about Hillary's campaigning. His trying to pretend to "be above it all" does not work with us and it won't work with the general public in the long run. His campaign tactics are far worse than Hillary's because he has to pretend too much to be what he isn't. Hillary makes comparisons. Obama's campaign kicks and screams at Hillary (gives her the finger) and then runs away and hides behind Obama's "coolness". None of it will connect to voters outside of the far left who are elitist enough to think Obama actually represents them.

We are beginnning to see how the Republicans will "define" Obama as an extremist. And he is. Hillary supporters have seen it for a long while. The definition will stick because it is true. posted 04/24/2008 at 12:09:26
McCain will win unless the superdelegates "save the party" and nominate Hillary.

We need a candidate who is seen by the general American public as "in touch" and experienced so that matched against McCain - the Democrats can talk about our solutions being better. posted 04/24/2008 at 11:59:42
I am not pro-war. In 1972, I voted for McGovern. Most Democrats in 1972 were against the Vietnam War. Isn't that what got McGovern nominated? Did McGovern win the General? Nixon knew he had to bring our troops home from Vietnam to get reelected and did.

The Republicans know they have to stop our troops from getting killed in Iraq in order to continue our presence in the middle east. That will happen no matter who is elected. Americans will not support this war if we are paying too great a price. McCain is promising to end the "cost" of this war. With his experience, he will likely win the General. posted 04/24/2008 at 10:39:17
