Americans Can't Allow McCain to Continue Bush's Failed Policies in the "War on Drugs"

Drug war? I thought it was a place to throw money away. Always hear about it but, its like the weather, nobody does anything about it. It has cost us too much of our youth, with lives ruined by using and selling. It just made it more expensive, didn't stop it. Pot is not the monster that its made up to be,Its a great way to make tax money if legalized, and taken out of the hands of growers, and sellers. Legalization don't need to mean Heroin, and Cocaine, has to be sold at Walmart. Wouldn't programs designed to help those who have fallen into the drug treadmill be better served if we regulated and registered offenders instead of throwing them in jail, and making real criminals out of them?We know that a radical change is needed because what we have been doing for 40 years ain't working. And i am sure you will agree that a surge of any kind won't help this war. posted 07/02/2008 at 16:59:20

McCain Comes Ashore In Pennsylvania

This is so much like watching reruns,we have seen this before, heard this before, promises made lies created, we go around in circles for another 4 years. What will happen if Obama gets elected on a platform of change and no change happens? We all know Congress and its unchangeable direction. When more Americans wake up and see that these senile old farts they re elect every two years are the problem, not the cure maybe something can start to happen. We already know people are fed up with the partisan bullshit, and serving them selves instead of the people goes against every law. Lobbyist don't pay taxes we do! Everyone who takes lobby money should be tried for treason against America! posted 07/01/2008 at 17:50:20

Contra Krugman: President Obama Won't be Another Clinton or another Reagan -- He Won't be Another Anybody

I have set my sights low on this one. Just another politician who will say anything to get elected? America can't take another 4 years of economic stagnation,we will all end up living under bridges. or in tents,We have all been shot down many times by speeches that inspire, and actions that prove other wise, If his mouth moves he's lying. Our antiquated political electoral system that resembles something dreamed up, will not work like it did 200 years ago. we are supposedly better educated, all tho schools are not what they used to be. We are all just waiting for the other shoe to drop. Make gas 10$ a gallon, make health care 250$ a week, make the price of a stamp 2$.When nobody has a job who will support the government? Maybe we can sell America to the Saudis. posted 07/01/2008 at 17:26:56

History is Made: New GI Bill Signed into Law

McBush and McSame safe with their government pensions, safe with there pays all health care, why do you think they really give a sh** for the common man? or the Veteran who did what they were told? Our government has moved past caring for the people who pay the bills, or make the ultimate sacrifice. They are more interested in finding another useless coin for us to collect. Will they take liberty off the next one? I won't use or collect any coin that don't say in god we trust. America land of the almighty dollar. best politicians money can buy. Several directions open up with Bush usurping constiutional powers, His third term using the puppet McSame, with Chaney still pulling his strings ain't going to happen. Congress has treated the Constitution with the same distain that it treats the taxpayers with. George Carlin: An Irish Mensch

Goerge was a pioneer in a field of comedy untried by many, and owned by just a few. So many punch lines so little time. His amazingly fresh comedy specials were seen by many but, unseen by many more, they should be required viewing, in comedy 101, he can never be copied because of his independantly brash, outlook on every aspect of the world we deal with every day. And the light in our heart and souls will always remind us of George. #$%&@*+ thanks, posted 06/24/2008 at 20:26:48

Hey, get over it! Not all White people are racist, I don't see Obama as being any color, I see someone trying to change the hopeless face of American politics. And No matter what the Republicrats, throw i will vote for him. Can't we just take him at face value? I won't say McSame is old, but, he was around 3 wars ago. Politics is a dirty underhanded, game to protect the jobs of overpaid, concieted, useless, greedy politicians who only want to screw the public more. So when i hear change i jump right on board. Obama Opting Out of Public Financing

congress and the senate need to pay attention to this young man! Not because of what he says but, more what he stands for! The American public has long been disenfranchised by a government by the rich for the rich. For a country founded in freedom and caring about the people,we have come a long way in the wrong direction. George Washington, or Ben Franklin would not recognize what we have become. Government has forgotten what they are here for ,We the people of the United States, to me it means we as a group. America is in trouble, the government is more interested in getting rich, well, has anyone failed to mention that if American collapses so goes the planet? money every where will eventually be worthless. posted 06/19/2008 at 21:28:11

Bush and McCain: Drilling us into a Deeper Hole

Spoken like the true oilman Bush is, and, not a surprise coming from his donor clone McSame, America has followed the lead of big oil long enough. And,look at the hole we have fallen into. The economy will be hurt permanently by this high price. We have long needed to change our policys regarding automobiles, and union jobs. the US automakers have failed to change with the times, and the handcuffs that greedy union labor have put on the automakers has cost jobs,if not the downfall of an industry. When the trucking industry was deregulated it started into a downward spiral, losing the power to change its fate, the us automakers have to face the same fate.Spending, and pay raises have shown us just how out of touch our elected officials are, with a rating as low as it is one would think they would want to change it,but, change is not something congress is capable of. They are too entrenched, andset in their ways, so i wish the next president(Obama) all the luck in the world because he will be up against a very old stone wall. posted 06/19/2008 at 21:16:51

After Six Years, Accountability at Guantanamo

I Am sorry but, there needs to be justification, that the detainees are covered by the constitution. Just because some lawyer wants to put his name in lights is no reason to give rights to enemys of the state. If Hitler had a good lawyer would that make him any more or less guilty? Shakespeare was right by the way. In America we have rights given to our citizens, by the Constitution, it makes no mention of god given rights world wide. Ask those who died in 911 ! the lawyers should be tried for treason against the United States, as the judges who decided the constitution is a world wide thing. posted 06/13/2008 at 18:45:47

Business as Usual: Troops Wait While Congress "Governs"

Congress has no morals, I would be ashamed to take money, and pay raises for a job that only stood in the way of progress. I vote against any one already in office, they obviously didn't do their job,and no promises were kept. The days of blindly re electing the same crooks and liars are over. Change is on the horizon, term limits for congress and senators should be two terms, with no more than that. America can't afford to fall farther behind the rest of the world. our educational system no longer works, 50% graduation rates? our military disgruntled because of lies and half truths made in promises when they joined. And Lobbyists paying to get favors from those we elected, Lobbyists have too long dictated the direction of congress and America, We need to take back what we have lost, Email your elected officials, lets put a referendum on Novembers ballot, impeach all those taking lobby money. Pay raises will be given on performance not with out the public voting on it. Either everyone gets health care or no one in government gets it. i agree re elect no one. posted 06/11/2008 at 18:00:33

McCain Acknowledges He May Lose Arizona

Mcsame will be lucky if his friends vote for him. Our antiquated electoral system, has suffered from stagnation as has congress. Mcsame is running on Bush's failed policies, regardless of what Mcsame says. We elected Democrats in the last election, and i guess we set our sights too high, expecting something to change. we are still in an unpopular war,the economy has left the building, gas prices are still going up, congress has given big oil the green light to keep raising them by not taking back tax breaks, which oil companys say will raise the price, unless i'm mistaken the price is going up no matter what. Nafta has worked to the advantage of the lobbyist American jobs are no longer leaving because no one wants the minimum wage jobs that are left. The government has become unfeeling and top heavy soon it will be unable to sustain it self by just printing more worthless money, We need programs to put people back to work not another useless coin to collect. posted 06/11/2008 at 20:24:48

Nothing Went Wrong

I am not a Hillary hater, I just distrust any one who changes to fit the situation, Her and baggage Bill would not be in the best interest of change! She never thought that her back door politics would lose to a newcomer. She owes lots of political favors to her lobbyist supporters. Health care lobbyists, and drug lobbyists are not happy. They spent all that money and got nothing. History will remember these remaining months before the election as the losers fade away to nothingness and the winners a place in history. Change is coming, of this there is no doubt, nothing will be the same, There is no turning back . America will be tested in the next 6 months in more than one way, and from more than one direction, The next president will have 8 years to make up for, Economic disaster looms on the horizon, America will shine again, this time with a CFC bulb! posted 06/09/2008 at 20:01:24

Barack, Hillary, Jack and Bobby

Myself, i thought for some one who was admitting a loss, she spent way too much time beating her own drum. But, then this was her big show, I thought her half/hearted attempt at convincing her supporters to go to Obama, was a little off target. Is she planning to join Mcsame on the republican ticket? She and Baggage Bill are not to well aligned to change. And Mcsame, and Hillary are already on the same page. Did anyone forget the Clinton gas tax? 5 cents wasn't it? From the way gas went up a holiday would not have mattered much. The way is forward, but ever increasingly up until November. When the people get a man bent on change in a country full of people afraid of change, and a congress that can't get anything done and don't know what change means. Good luck Obama your going to need it!!! posted 06/09/2008 at 20:21:05

Angry White Women

I guess i am just happy to vote for somebody for president, rather than writing in Mickey Mouse again. The Democrats and Republicans have come up with no viable candidate in the last 20 years. We have all felt cheated, one rich lawyer type running against another rich lawyer type, with no hint of what life at less than 50k is like. Change? we have heard this before, Health care too,but ,we are still between a rock and a hard place, The price of gas hasn't hurt everyone yet, because some still have a job. Vacation this year? Can't afford it! gas would cost more than the motel! i am sure i am not alone in this! McCain and Obama: What to Do About Wall Street's Addiction to Risk

We have economic risk everywhere, not just the stock market. We generally have the choice where our 401k money is put and which has less risk. We make more with greater risk, of course but, when does the risk overcome the need? We already know that social security ain't going to work for much longer, Our politicians have opted out for a safer plan that guarantees a better return. Six months ago i said things will get worse before it gets better, well, wheres the better? Helping those who got in trouble with their mortgage not the speculators. Big business don't need no help. Big government has gone to far. Bush is more a dictator or king than a president. And with congress 's approval rating at an all time low, one would think change is in the air. We need to change this mess before we are any deeper in trouble. like we ain't in bad enough shape now! China Curtails Catholic Easter Service

China has been able to keep its huge population in check. The people are like cattle, they do what they are told, and stay within party guidelines. Here in America we face the same thing at times, keep paying taxes, regardless of how they are spent. Health care is a luxury unless you are gainfully employed by the government. And a few hundred old men in congress and the senate follow there own ancient ways. business as usual, no changes, social security is no longer used by them, thats why they pick it clean like a dead body with vultures.
