I'm just an ordinary kind of a guy. When I was young nobody told me about college, I simply didn't know.

At about the age of twelve I was inspired to become a reader by my uncle Pete who one day I suddenly realized was the most interesting conversationalist in my whole extended family. Like all the men of my family he could talk about fixing transmissions, and timing an automobile engine, but unlike the rest of them he could also talk about the grand strategy of the Army of the Potomac, the Punic wars, the New Guinea and Solomon Islands campaigns, (which was a soldier in), and Gallileo. He was the only person in my life who ever mentioned ancient Athens.

I'm a news junkie who normally reads news on the internet daily, and two newspapers every day.

I'm a democratic kind of a guy, liberal, progressive, I like Obama and Biden, and I hope for a democratic victory in November.
