Grew up in NJ, England, Queens, New Zealand, So Cal. Missed the Bicentennial and most of the touchpoints of the 70s.

Volunteered on the Bradley for Governor campaign in 1984 and never recovered from that loss. By the time I graduated with my degree in poli sci, I was done with politics. But stayed a staunch Democrat.

Was excited in 1992. By 2000, I was disaffected and changed my registration to Green. I voted for Gore, but I'll still fight anyone who blames Greens for Gore's loss.

Without proportional representation, being a Green is mostly a protest against the Democratic party establishment.

I have been "in the tank" for Obama since January. I think he is both more idealistic and more cynical, more radical and more conservative than people realize. I am excited to see how the US ends up looking with an Obama presidency.
