Dr. Vandana Shiva is a physicist, environmentalist, feminist, writer and science policy advocate. She is the Director of Navdanya and The Research Foundation for Science, Technology and Ecology. In 1993 she was the recipient of the Right Livelihood Award, commonly known as the "Alternative Nobel Prize".
