I am a sex-positive writer in San Francisco. I write for the Huffington Post, SF Weekly and Whore! magazine. I documented a year of my sex life in San Francisco, on my blog, 'Whatever You Desire'. My platform is sex-positivity and trying to erase all the shame that comes with sex. My first book which chronicles my sexy year in San Francisco comes out later this year. I am traveling the country to bring you all a look at sex-positive culture throughout the US. I hope you enjoy the ride. Vanessa has a B.A. in political science, with a concentration in pre-law, from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.

Sugar, spice and everything nice is what little girls are made of. So, what are little boys made of? I never actually thought to ask myself this until I went to BIL 2012 this weekend. I found myself at a talk entitled "Act Like a Man: Masculinity &...
