Rao is a part-time writer, ecommerce executive and former entrepreneur. Her passions range from books and literature to global women’s issues to entrepreneurship. Her writing has been published in American Fiction, the McKinsey Quarterly, Mantram, a South Asian magazine, and Ladies Who Launch.

Rao received her undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania and her graduate degree from Harvard. She lives in the Bay area with her husband and two children and is currently working on her first novel.
