Hello all,
Please 1. Do not post my last post which was an apology/clarification for a mistake in my previous post
2. Please delete the previous post (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/vivian-norris-de-montaigu/when-rational-academics-m_b_137436.html) from the site so I don't have negative comments which are based on something I did not actually write and so it does not get picked up and circulated on the internet.
This morning I made a comparison of what I originally sent in for my post in my files and what ended up on HuffPost... "http://www.huffingtonpost.com/vivian-norris-de-montaigu/when-rational-academics-m_b_137436.html" and what I wrote is not what was posted...which also lead to the confusion.
I was actually referring to Naomi Klein not Naomi Wolf...but all the Kleins were changed to Wolf by the editors except the one time it should have been (my mistake but when you google Naomi Klein End of America it comes up on Amazon.com...see here "Amazon.com: The End of America: Letter of Warning to a Young ... by Naomi Klein. 4.3 out of 5 stars (298). The Revolution: A Manifesto" )
BOTH Naomis were interviewed on Alex Jones which complicated the matter even further...so I made a mistake but the HuffPost also made a mistake as they incorrectly changed all my references to the wrong person...then did not fact check the one mistake which should have been changed.
I wrote an apology and clarification post as I felt I had made a mistake...but when I went back and looked at my original article and then compared it to what HuffPost posted, they were so different I just think we need to take it down. So I think it is best to simply remove the post if we can as it has only been picked up by one other site as far as I could tell and there have been no negative comments to that one.
Thanks. I admit my honest confused mistake (not helped by the internet misinformation) but I also think we have to be careful not to "edit" someone's posts in such a way that the author can no longer identify with them.
Thanks,
Vivian
