Warren K. Zola has been the Assistant Dean for Graduate Programs in the Carroll School of Management at Boston College since 2002. An adjunct faculty member, Zola teaches two courses—Essentials of Sports Law and Business of Sports. He has contributed to the Cardozo Arts & Entertainment Law Journal, the Harvard Journal of Sports & Entertainment Law, the Huffington Post, the Sports Law Blog, and a chapter in the recently released book Sports for Dorks: College Football. He has served as a frequent expert panelist and lecturer on these topics, most recently participating in a congressional forum discussion on the state of college athletics.

Zola was formally appointed as the inaugural Chair of the University’s Professional Sports Counseling Panel in 2005, having served informally in that capacity for over a decade. [See article.] During that time he has worked with student-athletes that have the opportunity to pursue in a career in professional athletics—particularly the football, men’s and women’s basketball, baseball, men’s soccer, and men’s ice hockey teams. In this role he often serves as the University’s primary liaison with professional sports leagues and their players’ associations.

He received his Bachelor of Arts from Hobart & William Smith College, a Juris Doctor degree from Tulane University where he founded the Sports Law Society, and a Masters in Business Administration from Boston College.
