Founder and owner of Moments by Wayne Gurnick, Wayne provides wedding and event planning services across the United States. As a personalized full service event planner, the company assists clients with every aspect of their event or celebration -- from concept to production. In addition, the company has launched The Ultimate Wedding Planning Systemtm to help the DIY bride plan her own wedding, with 24/7 access to Wayne Gurnick and his staff. In addition to a live 24/7 wedding planning hotline, this service includes personalized vendor referrals and a system of tools and resources used by Wayne for over 20 years to plan hundreds of weddings.

A native of Los Angeles, Wayne grew up in Hollywood, California, where he apprenticed at the renowned floral studio Crossley’s. He worked on high profile events for such clients as Hugh Heffner of Playboy, Helen Reddy, Danny Kaye, Marlo Thomas and the Hollywood elite.

The first era of Wayne’s career proved an ideal training ground for his management, business, logistics and planning skills. He worked for a national bank as a Human Resources specialist and later became a Configuration Management Specialist at various aerospace companies. In this role, Wayne ensured that the engineering plans followed specific requirements, and that documentation rendered complete and accurate -- an excellent way to polish his skills in managing diverse tasks and completing documentation with accuracy and precision.

While advancing in his corporate career, Wayne had other dreams to realize: to own a floral design company. In 1989, he formed Floral Creations by Wayne, a boutique floral design studio. Building the company around what’s most important to his clients -- trust that he would take care of their needs and look after their best interests -- Wayne delivered the highest quality of products, staff that shared his passion for excellence, and vendors that held his same high standards.

Wayne’s successful, growing business attracted the attention of an investor with an interest in entering the floral design business, leading to the sale of Floral Creations by Wayne in 1997.

Having designed events since 1985, Wayne identified a need for a knowledgeable and reliable source to ease the stress associated with the planning and production of trend-setting weddings and stylish events. The result: The launch of InOvations Event Production in 1998 with the mission to be the trusted source of information in order to simplify the wedding and event planning process. In doing so, clients could concentrate their efforts on more important things like the reason for their celebration and the joy that their family and friends bring them.

In addition to receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in business from California State University at Northridge, Wayne is accredited by the American Institute of Floral Designers, a classification attained by only 1,300 professionals worldwide. With this status, Wayne joins the leaders of the floral design industry and expanded his network, forming strong bonds with top-level professionals across the United States and abroad. His work has been featured in television and print media, and his client list includes top names from companies such as MCA Universal, Disney, Warner Brothers, United Airlines, The Grammy Host Committee, Italian Institute of Culture and City of Hope, among numerous others.

Wayne Gurnick is the host of Wedding Words of Wisdom ™, an online radio program, where he interviews experts in all aspects of weddings and events to help brides and grooms make informed decisions.
