In 1999, when 12 million animals were put to sleep in shelters, Wendy Diamond launched the premier lifestyle media company for animal lovers to support endangered animal advocacy and animal rescue. Today the amount of animals put to sleep is down to 5 million while the amount pet parents spend on their pets is well over 46 billion dollars annually!

After adopting her rescued Russian blue cat, Pasha, along with a rescued Maltese, Lucky, Wendy used her natural spirit, charm, and business acumen to start an animal lifestyle magazine and media company – Animal Fair Media.

No one has done more for animal rescue than Wendy Diamond, who brought animal rescue to the forefront of media in 1999, well before it was on the agenda of today's biggest advocates. Not only was she the Chairperson of the Katrina Pet Memorial, Wendy created the first-ever pet fashion show and first-ever cocktail party for people AND dogs, all to promote animal rescue. Diamond also created the first pet comedy shows and the Howl-o-ween charity events to promote her causes. As a face for animals, she’s done everything from being on the New York Columbus Day Parade float for GreenChimneys.org (a nationally renowned non-profit organization) to being Grand Marshal to the world’s largest dog parade - Barkus New Orleans Mardi Gras Parade.
