I'm a mechanically inclined and artistically skilled guy in his late 20s. I have aspirations of one day owning my own bike shop, but right now I'm comfortable admitting I am a loser, except for the fact that I am the luckiest guy in the world when it comes to love -- my lady is really something else. I recently moved to Humboldt County (where I don't smoke weed) from Utah (where I wasn't Mormon!) so that the wonderful lady I just mentioned can get a college degree. I'm a staff member at The Bike Kitchen in Eureka, California (a non-profit community bike shop; my favorite place to be). There is no grand, interesting description of me. I work dead-end jobs and I work hard to always have a dead-end job. My only valuable possessions are a bicycle and a laptop. But I'm happier than most because I'm grateful for my girl, for the chance to volunteer, and for so many amazing friends who kept a roof over my head when the other option would have been camping behind dumpsters.
