William Mapother has appeared in over fifty films and television shows. Film work includes Sundance hit Another Earth (Fox Searchlight July ’11 release), A Warrior’s Heart, Edwin Boyd, and FDR: American Badass. Other films include the Oscar-nominated In the Bedroom, World Trade Center, The Grudge, Lords of Dogtown, The Burrowers, Without Limits, Swordfish, and Mission: Impossible 2. Some television work: Lost (as Ethan Rom), Prison Break, CSI, Criminal Minds, Human Target, L&O: SVU & CI, Threshold, and NCIS.

He is a Founding Partner of Slated, a finance, tech, and data company for the film industry. Slated is in beta for an online marketplace for film finance, and its service Festival Genius runs the online program guides and schedules for over sixty film festivals, including Sundance.

His voice has been heard in animation, video games, PSAs and documentaries. He is writing and producing a film based on an episode of This American Life.

He is a National Director of the Screen Actors Guild, a co-founder of the Flyover Film Festival in Louisville, KY, and a spokesperson for the Awareness of Elder Abuse. Prior to acting he taught grades seven to twelve in East Los Angeles for the L.A.U.S.D. He grew up in Louisville, KY and graduated with a BA in Literature from Notre Dame. He lives in Los Angeles.
