Female Palestinian Inmates Claim Israeli Guards 'Humiliated' Them (VIDEO)

A group of female former Palestinian prisoners detained in Israeli jails have accused prison guards of carrying out "humiliating" internal body searches in violation of Israel's prison code.

In an exclusive report, former detainee Sabreen Abu Amara told Al Jazeera's Nour Odeh that she spent six years living in fear of intrusive and degrading treatment at the hands of Israeli guards.

Abu Amara said the guards strip-searched female prisoners, sometimes forcing them to squat and undergo a thorough internal examination.

One lawyer is now collecting evidence from 10 female prisoners who say they were strip-searched in an effort to lodge an official complaint.

Having gone through the entire article and the comment of my fellow learned commenter, exhibited some illogical cause for Israeli soldiers to behave in such indecent manner with ladies. What would my friend commenter reply to if a Muslim women asks to compare the Israeli soldier with Muslim Jihadists those whom west call terrorists their mannerism and character qualities in respect to the treatment meted out to the ladies in their custodyleast to speak in open, wherein ladies in custody a journalist converted to Islam out of respect for the religion and their behavior and none so far complained of any indecent behavior as the against Israeli soldiers.

And here the world's finest trained Israeli soldiers behavior speaks volume of their nasty root and family background least to speak about their upbringing, along with Israel's Political Leaders roots and family background who all lead them in their daily life, what could my friends reply to the silent indication and hint left in between the sentences of the uncouth filthy dirty uncivilized cultured behavior of the Israeli soldiers toward the ladies as complained.

Accept it or not it is the distortion of culture that made the soldiers behave like human beings. Also made them small in respect of decency. One may shout at the top of the voice and announce these are not true and it is lie. But fact are undeniable and unchangeable. it would be better to train the Israeli soldier to behave with public.

The story is bigger than this event. There is major injustice and persecution towards a helpless people. It has to stop on all levels. Some people were given a small plot of the earth to live on and them must learn to live on it in peace and not constantly try to expand and oppress. Enough!

Israel has given more land back than it has "taken."

The Palestinians are not powerless.

They have the choice to advance their case through the media (which is very sympathetic to them) or by guns and rockets.

They can take the greenhouses left by Jewish American philanthropists and use them to grow or as tunnels for rockets, which is the choice made by their elected leaders. Arafat could have spent the billion dollars in aid he syphoned on hospitals or he could have put it, as he did, in french banks.

Palestine will be a full state within 5 years of its renouncing all terror. All resonable supporters of Israel want nothing more than 2 peaceful states.

They were given the small plot of land upon which to live, and have ever since been subject to suicide bombings, hijackings, assaults on nurseries, missile fire, invasions, boycotts and academic isolation. Maybe if Israel's neighbors would sit and talk rather than arm and radicalize their population and the Palestinians, we would have peace and not a peace process. Apparently most of the responses to this story indicate the readers neither believe it or, if it is true, they feel "so what?" That seems to be the attitude of the supporters of Israel. No matter what is done by Israelis or in the name of Israel, it is condoned, even if the rest of the world is appalled. Once they determine in their minds that Palestinians are sub-human, the Israelis feel nothing and permit anything. It's a very sad thing. Any comment opposing what Israel is doing generates accusations of anti-semitism. They don't see it for what it is. It's anti-monsterism, and if the shoe fits, they are welcome to put their feet in it.
