never been to that hotel there, but aspen is funny that way. It is a town designed for the locals. I understand that they are a ski town, but unless your skiing, it's just not made for regular folks.
I was there some years ago, staying in nearby glenwood springs with my girlfriend at the time.
We drove over the hill and a short time later arrived in aspen, we couldn't find any place to eat that wasn't fine dining. We couldn't find hardly anything that wasn't for the elite.
In hindsight it doesn't surprise me this place went belly up. I don't know anyone who would stay at a place called "hotel jerome"
