Ytasha L. Womack is author of the critically acclaimed book Post Black: How A New Generation is Redefining African American Identity (Lawrence Hill Books). She also coedited the anthology Beats Rhymes and Life: What We Love and Hate About Hip Hop. A Chicago native, her works have appeared in Upscale, The Chicago Tribune, NV and Ebony among others. She directed the interracial romantic comedy The Engagement which was nominated for best film at the American Black Film Festival and she will direct The Greatest Love Story Never Told later this year.
