Yunan Jin is a 17-year old native of Beijing, China, who focuses his activism on environmental issues dealing with climate change. In 2004, he initiated “A Tree a Day” program for volunteers to plant 365 trees over a two-week period in Inner Mongolia. To date, 20,000 trees have been planted, covering approximately one square kilometer. Yunan is also focused on promoting climate awareness in his school and community through lectures and documentary screenings. He founded the website, http://www.xco2.cn, which aims to help people develop eco-friendly lifestyles. Yunan also holds three patents in the field of biomass briquettors and IC Engines.
