Caroline Styne loves rose wines, and she's chosen five of her personal favorites for the Tavern Wine & Cheese Club tonight. Sip five summery pink wines from California and France alongside cheese courses like watermelon salad with mint and feta, and Lucifero blue cheese with heirloom tomatoes. 7 PM in the Larder; $29 per person (11648 W. San Vicente Blvd.; 310-806-6464).
So you want to be a mixologist? Take the Cocktail Crafting class tonight with the Institute of Domestic Technology and Oldfield's Liquor Room's Aaron Stepka. You'll learn how to make bitters from herbs, flowers and roots, and even bottle it to take home, and also infuse different spirits with fruits and other ingredients. And then Stepka shows you what to do with it all (i.e. make a cocktail and drink it). The class takes place in a "secret speakeasy" hidden in the Greystone Mansion in Beverly Hills. Starts at 7 PM; $95 for BevHills residents or $119 for everyone else. Register here (905 Loma Vista Dr.; 310-285-6830).
