I'm not a connoisseur of languages, but there are some terms one must know in several tongues, chief amongst them "the joy of living."
In French it's "Joie de vivre."
In Italian it's "Gioia di Vivere."
In the house of Ferragamo it's "Attimo."
That's the name of their latest signature scent, an intoxicating mix of lotus, peony, musk and gardenia. Their launch party for the fragrance, held Wednesday night at Le Bain at the Standard Hotel, completely captured the essence of joy. An eclectic mix of socialites, editors and artists, including Irina Lazareanu, Stavros Niarchos, Dan Abrams, Genevieve Jones, Stefano Tonchi, and Vito Schnabel, mingled rooftop and poolside. The event was hosted by Gaia Repossi, Fabiola Beracasa, Chiara Clemente, Lady Alice St Clair Erskine and Dree Hemingway, who is also the face of the fragrance.
All guests left with a very special gift: their own bottle of of the fragrance. The scent debuts at Salvatore Ferragamo boutiques and Bloomingdales department stores on July 23. It will be available at fine department stores nationwide in September.
