For the last few years I have been designing showhouses that help contextualize what it means to truly live an "ecofabulous" life -- one without sacrifice of aesthetics or ethics. Though 18,000 designophiles walk through Dwell on Design, I wanted to share this house with all of the people who couldn't make it to the inspiring three-day event. To this end, I created a documentary with eHow to delve deeper into the process of creating a chic little cottage out of reclaimed materials and tenacity. I'm hoping that viewers are inspired to rethink their relationship with waste, and benefit from the tons of take-aways the video series has to offer on creating a beautiful space of one's own.

Thanks for the information. My wife and I would like to do something like this on a few acres of land in an effort to create an animal sactuary. Good advise and some great links.
