Zondra Hughes is the national Deputy Editor of Rolling Out, with distribution in 19 major U.S. cities, Rolling Out is the nation's leading urban and lifestyle entertainment publication. She is the host of The SpeakEasi: Real Talk About Love & Crappiness on WVON, and founder of The Six Brown Chicks.

Hughes landed her first media internship with N’Digo in 1998.
One year later, Hughes was hired as an associate editor (Beauty & Style and Relationships) at Ebony magazine. This experience set the groundwork for her memoir, Living The Ebony Life: E-Mails From The Plantation.

In 2007, Hughes came full circle and joined N'Digo as editor.

She joined Rolling Out in 2011.

Outside of work, Hughes regularly participates in community outreach programs which garnered accolades such as one of the 100 Women Making a Difference; (Today’s Chicago Woman); Who’s Who in Black Chicago; one of the 25 Most Influential Women in Chicago, (Rolling Out Magazine); and Top Media Movers (Monarch Magazine) among others.

Hughes has co-written the wildly popular Ritz Harper Goes To Hollywood with Wendy William; and her first novel, The M.O.O.D. Lounge.

She is a proud member of The Authors Guild, resides in Chicago with her large family.
