One Million See McCain's YouTube Problem!

We're entering record-breaking territory here. Since The Real McCain 2 launched this past Sunday, over 1 million people have seen it! It's been the #1 most viewed video on YouTube, #1 on the viral video chart, and the #2 story on the Digg Election 2008 page. We're reaching an audience that most cable news shows only dream of.

We knew the press's inexplicably blind love for McCain has led to a dearth of accurate reportage regarding his record on the issues. We knew the corporate media have been going far easier on McCain than on either Obama or Clinton. Now that we have the numbers, we know that the general public hungers for the truth about the so-called "Maverick."

We've reached a critical juncture in this presidential campaign. For the last seven years, the mainstream press has sacrificed its objectivity and courage in a pathetic attempt to appease conservatives, lest they be painted left-leaning.

We need to continue spreading videos like The Real McCain 2, passing them along to friends and coworkers, and raising the national discourse until our pleas for unbiased, hard-hitting journalism are heard by the corporate media.

And it has to happen now, especially when the presumptive GOP nominee can't get his basic facts right on Iran. Especially when the press is obsessed with Jeremiah Wright but won't go after McCain's endorsements (which he sought) from the viciously anti-Semitic Rev. John Hagee or the deeply bigoted Rev. Rod Parsley. Especially when White House lackey Ed Gillespie is going on Glenn Beck's show to call for a boycott of NBC. Especially when Bill O'Reilly and FOX News are parroting the White House once again, assailing NBC, MSNBC, and their parent company, General Electric. And especially when Karl Rove is attacking Democrats on FOX News, which refuses to identify him as an informal McCain adviser and maxed-out donor.

Karl Rove cannot strategize against the will of a determined, connected, and informed people. The people are taking the free press back from the corporate shark. Technology is making that happen and Karl Rove, the 527s, and others will get to know the reality fairly soon -- that this year the truth stands more than a fighting chance to carry the day and the election.

As for Senator McCain, it is always a head scratcher [sic] to me how so many can look at the same thing yet see diametric opposites. I see a tired, lying, cheating, egomaniac of a man, who suffered unimaginable horror while doing his duty as a uniformed officer of the military. I am empathetic regarding his humanity and his suffering, respectful of his military service, and unapologetic concerning my view on his politics. Yet some allow his service record to override the plethora of information that is out there to support my political analysis.

Like I said -- a head scratcher!

WOW!!! We are in trouble with a capital T if Senator McCain gets elected. I knew about his "tantrums in Congress" but I didn't realize how much he has to memorize his remarks.
That's why he gets mixed up. The comments change from interview to interview.
I guess they forgot to tell him to try to remember what he had memorized earlier!!

I really wonder what happened to McCain. The John McCain that ran for president in 2000 was fundamentally different from this guy. I still think that the McCain we see now isn't the real one, but unfortunately the lesson he learned from 2000 was that the only way to the republicans nomination was to cozy up with right-wing idiots, throw logic out the window, and repeat the most asinine talking points imaginable.

At the end of the video he promises to "keep [his] word to the American People". I guess the strategy for that is to be sure he promises everything.

McCain changes his opinion on issues more than he does his Depends.

Whoever his VP is must fully disclose their medical informatio­n/history.
Chances are that, if McCain somehow gains the title of POTUS, the VP will assume that title before their 1st term is complete.

If there were any fairness in politics and the media, the Hagee and Parsley Show would be shoved down our throats at least as much as we were treated to the ubiquitous sight and sound of Rev.Wright!!! I am glad that Brave New Film's much-viewed video is doing its bit to redress this issue.

I once thought Mc Cain might have something but now I see he is like so many so called conservatives they only see profit at the end of their efforts for themselves.

He must let the RNC program him because he has no orginal ideas of his own.

I have been looking for the USB plugin where they quickly UPLOAD what he will spew later as his own thoughts and ideas. Karl Rove has hidden the USB plug well I have yet to see it uncovered. I can't wait for the day when a Mississippi Jury lands Roves butt in jail for illegal political activity.
