Update: Silicon Alley Insider corrects us, saying that Burnett's "potty-mouth" was no accident. Rather, it was part of a "scripted play on words" — meaning that, if anything, Burnett was only acting within CNBC management's orders. Previously, we referred to her remark as a "slip-up."
Page Six reports, "Erin Burnett has a potty mouth. The CNBC hottie reported Wednesday that Apple shares were down, and noted, 'It was the It Stock of '07, and it is apparently the s - - t stock of 2008.'"
Angering CNBC management is the last thing Burnett needs right now. Executives at the network were reportedly very upset after Burnett's controversial list of what she's looking for in a man that included exclusively expensive gifts and gestures.
