ACORN Not An Issue: City Election Officials

A longtime community group that is a point of controversy in the presidential election over voter registrations is NOT registering voters here in the Chicago area.

ACORN, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, has been accused of voter registration fraud in Ohio and nine other states for allegedly forging signatures, making up names and copying forms bring in new voters.

Langdon Neal, chairman of the Chicago Board of Election Commissioners says ACORN has not been a deputy registrar in Chicago for two years.
