On CBS Thursday morning, Steve Forbes commented on whether there is something wrong when, in 2006, for example, the average CEO made as much in a single day as the average American worker made in one year.
"If you deliver you should get paid," Forbes said. The problem was that the CEOs didn't deliver. "Yes, we should be outraged," he quipped.
Forbes also took several digs at our "crazy accounting rules," blaming them for much of the financial industry's woes, and also acknowledged the gold rule: "whoever has the gold, makes the rules." In this case, it's the government.
