Space Shuttle Discovery Lifts Off After Weeks Of Delay

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. - The space shuttle Discovery lifted off Sunday on a trip to the international space station, after more than a month of delay caused by concerns about its fuel system.

The start of Discovery's 13-day construction mission came after launch-pad repairs took care of a potentially dangerous leak in a hydrogen-gas vent line connected to the shuttle's external fuel tank. NASA managers said they saw no problems during Sunday's countdown.
