French Stores To Open Shop On Sunday

The French lower house narrowly approved draft legislation on Wednesday that would further loosen rules -- cherished by many traditionalists -- that restrict commercial activity on Sundays.

The bill would allow stores to open Sundays in commercial hubs in Paris, Lille and Marseille, as well as in about 500 tourist areas elsewhere.
