In the Strong family, it's the children who take care of their mother.

Chloe and Jesse Strong are 10 and 11-years-old. They cook and clean. Chloe sometimes bathes their mother Lisa Strong. All four of Lisa Strong's limbs were amputated after she contracted an infection stemming from an untreated kidney stone in 2004.

CNN profiled the family and detailed the challenges that they face.

"I'm mad at God right now for making her do that, for Him doing that to her," [Jesse] said.

"I know what's going on, and it's pretty easy," Chloe said. "If that didn't happen to her, she would be the same exact way that other friends' moms are."

She searches for a word to describe her mother. "Unique," she says.

Strong has sued for malpractice. Earlier this year, a
a jury's ruling in the doctors' favor. Strong's case is still pending.
