Bloomberg, Thompson Make Final Campaign Push Before Elections

As their aides fretted over the prospect of low turnout at the polls, the candidates for New York City mayor delivered last-minute appeals to voters on Sunday, with Comptroller William C. Thompson Jr. urging New Yorkers to reject an incumbent "who thinks he's above democracy," and Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg asking for a third term to "keep making progress."
