Roderick Jenrette, Glenn Winston Dismissed From Michigan State Football Team Following Campus Assault

The Detroit Free Press reports that two Michigan State football players, safety Roderick Jenrette and running back Glenn Winston, have been dismissed from the team for rules violations. The dismissals were issued mere hours after the State News, a Michigan State student newspaper, reported on an assault at Rather Hall on the MSU campus. According to the State News, witnesses indicated that football players were among the assailants who "stormed into the dormitory and hit and injured about seven students, some of them women."

According to another State News article, Wilson has ran afoul of team rules in the past. Just last spring he was reinstated following his arrest after attacking a member of the hockey team, A.J. Sturges. The injury left Sturges with a fractured skull, and he pilloried M.S.U. in August for reinstating Winston.
