CPD Vows To Issue Missing Person Alerts More Often

The Chicago Police Department has vowed to issue missing person alerts to the press more often, and it is already holding true to that promise, with several alerts issued the last five days.

The CPD has been under fire since Jahmeshia Corner was found dead in an alley last week, apparently strangled some time after she was first reported missing on Nov. 15.

Police suspected the 12-year-old had been a runaway, and family members and others have been infuriated by what they call a lack of priorities.
