Glenn Beck: Rumor I Died In Plane Crash FALSE, Katie Couric Snubbed Me On Vacation (VIDEO)

Glenn Beck said on his radio program Monday that an (obviously) false rumor circulated over the holiday break that he died in a plane crash.

"While I was not in the hospital for any heart-related issues at all, and Rush Limbaugh was," Beck said, "the day that I was writing Rush and saying, 'Hey man, thoughts and prayers are with you,' was the day that I got a phone call from my business partners that said, 'You are alive, right?'"

Beck said that a "major news organization" called his business partner and said, "We'd just like a statement on the fatal plane crash of Glenn Beck....Apparently he was in a fatal plane crash and we just wanted a statement from you."

"Needless to say, I am not dead," Beck said. "I wasn't in a fatal plane crash, and that story apparently didn't go out but it was amazing that there was enough from some sort of credible source to make a major news organization phone up."

Beck added that he was vacationing next door to Katie Couric, who did not invite him to her New Year's Eve party.

"She must have misplaced the invitation, because I wasn't invited to the New Year's Eve party that she was throwing," Beck said of Couric, adding that his family joked about eating chili, taking laxatives, and crashing the party (and its bathrooms).

Beck was the inaugural guest on Couric's web show, @katiecouric. They are both clients of "public relations guru Matt Hiltzik".
