Legoland Florida: Theme Park To Follow In Footsteps Of Legoland California (VIDEO)

Legoland Florida is now official, after a series of rumors. The new theme park will be replacing the now defunct Cypress Gardens in Central Florida, which closed down in September 2009.

Expected to open by the end of 2011, the Orlando Sentinel reports Legoland Florida will be the world's largest Legoland theme park. There are also Legoland's in England, Denmark, Germany, and California.

Legoland Florida follows the lead of Legoland California, which opened in 1999 and was America's first Legoland theme park.
