Schumer, Gillibrand Join Renewed Push For Public Option

New York's senators are backing a push to haul the public option out of the morgue and put it back on the table for health care reform.

Sen. Chuck Schumer added his name to the effort Thursday, joining Kirsten Gillibrand and 15 other senators in a liberal-led effort to revive the idea of a government-backed insurance plan that competes with the private sector.
