Carla Bruni Eats Well, But Nicolas Sarkozy Just Eats Chocolates, Says French Chef

When French President Nicolas Sarkozy and his wife Carla Bruni chowed down at Ben's Chili Bowl earlier this week, they broke with the French tradition of traveling with a personal chef, WWD reports. It seems that past French leaders have had more discerning palates:

Consider late French President François Mitterrand, who enjoyed a very special delicacy: a small songbird called the ortolan, drowned in Armagnac, then flambéed and eaten whole. Or what about Jacques Chirac, famed for his fondness for cooked veal head?

Suddenly we feel like skipping lunch today. So what dishes do the current French first couple prefer? Chef Alain Ducasse has the scoop:

"Carla eats well and she likes to eat, but [Nicolas] just eat yogurts and chocolates."
