Carla Bruni: Comic Book Superhero

It's a bird...it's a plane...no, it's Carla Bruni! France's first lady is set to be drawn as a superhero for Bluewater Productions' "Female Force" biography series, WWD reports.

Penned by "Doctor Who" novelist David A. McIntee and drawn by Heath Foley, the comic traces Bruni-Sarkozy's rise from Nineties catwalker to first lady.

McIntee told the Daily Mail UK, "It was interesting to try to find an angle from which to cover a real person's story rather than to make one up. It's a nice little variation on the usual way of writing a comic."

Bruni--and Baroness Margaret Thatcher, whose issue is being penned--will join the likes of Michelle Obama, Hillary Clinton, and J.K. Rowling, who all have their own "Female Force" issues. The comic books will be printed this summer.
